Ranking the Young QB's According to ESPN

Purely based on subjective opinionated garbage. You know, the usual from espn...

How can you tell it's biased?

Explain to me the durability rankings alone. First off, how many of these guys have missed more than a snap or two due to injury? IIRC, only RG3. So then what is the criteria they are measured against for these infallible "rankings"? I think the first should be physical size/build. So explain to me how any of the other guys would rank above Cam? And if they really cared about their jobs, they would derive this ranking off of actual game tape - how the players play and the hits they have taken. I'm willing to bet without looking, that Cam has taken more hits than any of the other guys and IIRC, has only missed a snap or two after getting his ankle rolled up on last year. Cam has likely taken harder shots and done more damage to the hitter than any other of these guys due to his physical size and skill alone.

Complete and utter bullshit.

And Bill Polian can go fug himself. I'll take his opinion on QBs seriously when he gives us our first round pick back ththat he wasted on an alcoholic racist whose heart wasn't into playing football. Seriously, fug him.

Johnny Rockets beat me to it, but came here to make the point about Andy Dalton?  Before last year's crop of QB's, the media would compare Newton and the ginger and stats be damned, Dalton was better because Cincy won.

Now, he's out of the equation already?  Wouldn't it be more fun to compare Dalton to Luck, or maybe Wilson?  Nope, if there is an opportunity to show that Cam is dead fugging last in any category, you can believe he will show up on that list.

All of these QBs are still developing. Time will tell all. Beyond that, I really don't think there's anything to be mad about except for Polian's bullshit. However, I think they pretty much tainted the credibility of the entire piece by ranking Cam next to last in durability. But to me that's more amusing than anything else.

Typical Espn BS. One problem is that if you say a lie enough it becomes the truth. So in many people's eyes they don't need to do their own research on Cam Newton. The mainstream media has done it for them. They are lazy and refuse to look at facts. What records have any of these others had? Cam was put on a horrible team with very little talent. The rest of these qb's would have struggled worse than Cam on this team. If Cam was on the niners or skins or Colts he would be looked at entirely different. Luck "lucked" into a perennial contender. They tanked to draft him. I don't believe that they were as bad as their record. I personally hate the majority of the National media. They are a disgrace! Give me Cam 7 days a week!!!

Espn is absolutely a joke. I mean I just watched a few seconds of nfl live and mark Schleswig just said that the Seahawks secondary is amazing and that Sherman won that game for the Seahawks against us by causing the fumble on deangelo. All I could do is laugh. Clearly these guys don't even watch games.

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
