Can we win a game this season?

Trade Cam and add a 1st

I was thinking today, if we traded Cam right now... hypothetically what do you think we'd get for him? He still has potential but after seeing to other rookie QBs come out and win right away, his rookie season is less special. I'm thinking maybe a 3rd? :)

If Palmer got 2 first rounders....Cam would at least get that much...

If we were in position to draft Bridgewater, I guarantee Gettleman would think strongly about doing that while picking up a bunch of picks to use on  building around him.

Its something to think about assuming we play it par for the course the rest of the year...we'll be battling Jacksonville for the worst team.

.............comon man.....

Carson fuging Palmer went for 2 1sts.....Cam being as dynamic as he is would go for at least the same.

I am afraid you may be right.  I'm hoping that somebody, anybody out there would still take a flier.  It has to be well known that our situation in Charlotte is not ideal.  Maybe someone thinks he would still be great if given a better opportunity.  his athleticism and measurables are second to none.  Surely somebody out there still thinks he is a starter.

I wish Al Davis was still alive

I know a certain OC who may find his abilities...useful.

I think there's a realistic chance we could lose every game, but I think we will be more like 3-13 or 4-12. I think we could have our worst record in the Rivera era this year. In the past, our big-play offense compensated for a mediocre defense. This year, our defense plays pretty well until it matters, then Rivera plays super scared and gives the other team's receivers 15 yards of cushion like he did today on the Bills' last drive.

But now that we're only sparingly aggressive on offense, we aren't scoring much. Our team this year is run to win close games with defense. But with Rivera basically gift-wrapping other teams 2-minute drill touchdowns with his 15-yard-cushion defense, the defensive players aren't being put into positions to keep the other teams from driving down the field on us.

I think we may get a top 5 pick in the NFL Draft.

its really gotten to the point where there is nothing left to say. Rivera needs to go. Even the people who were defending him are speechless. I've never seen a team quite like this, with the major talent that we have on this team.

There are things that Ron Rivera just can't do that you see even average NFL teams doing a lot. Like attempting to score with a minute to go in the first half and three timeouts in the pocket. When that happens, it really tells me how awful Rivera is. Then I get jealous of other teams, thinking that it can't be THAT hard to do what the other teams can do. Alas, we're stuck with Rivera.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
