I could see this happening during the bye week, Greg Hardy is going to want CJ money, he even hired CJ's agent at the end of last year's season. There is no way in hell we are making that same cap mistake with the holes on this team, which makes me think trading him maybe the only choice we have.

I would prefer a trade to an extension provided we get something of value in return.  I'm hoping for a first round pick, but realize that's probably not going to happen. If we could get a second round pick or a pair of thirds, I'd be ecstatic. I'm comfortable with Alexander opposite Johnson with Addison and Horton providing depth.

exactly and he owes 40+ sacks for this season alone. I think giving him a huge payday is a big mistake. i like him and all but we need to buy some REAL players instead over overpaying these young screw ups and injury prone locker room favs. its time to grow up even if if means dropping all of the should be players! what have they done for us lately?

It's already decreasing. I just don't see a trade happening. Especially combined with him being an FA next year.

I rather use that money toward Hakeem Nicks, Jarius Byrd, etc next year and replace him in the 2nd round with a guy like Tuitt or Aaron Lynch if they somehow luckily falls there. If not, Jeffcoat in the 3rd.

Carolina has the third highest time of allowing QBs to throw the ball with like 3.03 seconds. This front four isn't getting it done. Yeah we're stopping the run, but we're not blitzing enough (as the case the past 15 years) and the secondary gets eaten up.
