Tolbert and Special Teams

I love me Tolbert.   He's money in the bank on 3rd and short or goal and short.  But why is he playing on special teams on a punt return?    He's completely gassed.

could be. rivera said in his presser that tolbert cramped up so that might have been where the cramp was. not a big deal, tho.

 

i don't think that his playing on special teams is a big deal, either. for the impact he makes when he's on the field, i don't think he's on the field for a lot of snaps...at least comparatively to other starters.

 

anyone know how many snaps on offense he got this last week?

This does look like a cramp.   But it still doesn't seem very smart to me, as valuable as he is to the offense, to play him on special teams when you're winning by 31 points and risk a hamstring injury.  JMHO

RR said he cramped up. One of his roles in the team is to contribute in special teams. Its not like its Steve Smith out there.
