How ESPN will discredit Cam being better than their QB Hero's

RG3 - is not ready yet give him a year to recover

Colin- only started _____ games , he has a bright future let him adjust

Luck- the team is not ready and Luck has to carry them and doesnt have the team Cam does

I for one, am so tired of seeing RG3 pressers on NFL Network and ESPN. Some player actually called out NFL network as vomiting and saturating certain stories constantly (mentioning RG3 and his knee). And the NFL analyst lady was like woah there and after she talked with the player via cam, then played RG3 presser and RG3 news. Lol.

Cam deserves to be talked about more then at least RG3 and Kap at the moment. He will be discredited by the fact that we weren't expected to go to playoffs anyways (outlier) and they will then proceed to talk about the QBs who were expected to have good seasons and be powerhouses and ended up short. That will always be the bigger story is the big names not doing well. Rather then a team surprising people. (This is all if we make playoffs which ya...).

The thing isn't about numbers it's about names and their fav teams to talk about. And they compare those fav select players numbers against their other fav select players. Cam is then lost in the black abyss.

Keep in mind that NFLN is an extention of ESPN the corporation.

It's more than obvious that The Powers That Be at ESPN do not care for Cam because of his college success story didn't end they way they wanted. They still seem to have a we must teach him a lesson attitude and in turn set out to either undermine, criticize, or downplay his talent for the sake of the other QBs.

I personally believe the constant mentioning of RG III by such network as NFLN, is done both to annoy fans and to keep Luck in the spotlight without always talking about him and putting unnecessary pressure on him. Remember the more the media talks about you is the more folks want to tear you down. U know they don't want folks tearing down their "choosen QB."

Why?

I was being sarcastic but honest.

I do watch other games besides my favorite teams and I've noticed during a couple of those Colts last season, that whenever Luck throw a ball and it got intercepted or missed, his receivers were the first to get blamed unless it was downright obvious that it was Luck's fault.

The desire not to make him look like a "regular QB" is quite obvious.

I watched the entire Eagles game and most of the Green Bay game (didn't catch RG3 week 3) and the dude could barely complete a fuging pass until the defenses called off the dogs.  Especially not one downfield.

He was like 11/24 99 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs before the Eagles got lax on him and pumped the brakes midway through the 3rd.  Then suddenly RG3 starts completing those little dink-and-dunk passes that the defense handed to him on a silver platter and it boosted his stats considerably.

The Green Bay game was similar.  The offense couldn't do jack poo in both games until it was completely out of hand.

Sorry, but the dude has been below average so far without having the threat of getting burned by the monster run game read option combo that he and Morris present which opens up his little signature dink-and-dunk screen passes which go for more yards than they normally should.

I said it all last year, the dude is overrated.  He has never impressed me as a passer.

Another pattern I'm noticing nowadays, certain players it seems like there is always a reason(or should I say, excuse) for their stats. But others are accepted with face value. As if throwing a football is the most difficult thing on the face of the planet. Lol

Fact: 975 yards passing, 63% completion in 3 game is just that. You can feel yourselves all you want to diminished it but when you go check his stat for those 3 games a million years from now it still gonna come up 975/63%. Unfortunately for you guys excuses are in-computable. Wouldn't it be nice to have numerical value for excuses to append at the end of RG3's stat. Oh, well! at least you sleep better at night. Until you wake up and find google still shows 975/63%.

Dude can throw dimes, period! That doesn't take anything away from Newton.

Yeah, the stat sheet is going to always show that but anyone who watched the fuging game knows how misleading those stats are and that the games weren't even particularly close despite the final scores.

I don't give a fug about RG3 and couldn't care less how he does this season, much less lose sleep over it.  I'm just letting it be known what I, and many others, who watched the game saw, you're the one that seems like you're overly-invested in this thing.

Also, I'm pretty sure I didn't mention Cam anywhere in my post.

Not true (at least for me and many others here).

We criticize RG3 and Kaep, cause they're not pocket passers, and relied on/were bailed out by a gimmick offense and their run games. They never really had to think on their own out there (despite what we're told). That's all.

I agree with you regarding Luck. Many here, think he's better than he's actually demonstrated. Agreed. However, many of us here, know he's not as good as advertised as well. He was good last year. And he's only OK this year. I get it.

What I will give Luck credit for though (like with Cam, Tannenhill, and Wilson to a degree): At least he earned his playing a mostly conventional offense. The Redskins, played a high school offense for RG3 last year. And Kaep was very reliant on his run game, the pistol and play calling. But some how got credit as some type of brilliant savant/surgeon behind the LOS. SMH

Cam on the other hand, is handicapped by [far] the worst coaching  of all the QB's mentioned. How many gams/near wins has Rivera blown? How many potential game winning, sealing opportunities has Rivera denied Cam/the team, by holding on to the ball with the smallest of leads? So every thing he gets, he earns. Rivera won't even allow Cam to have garbage time, or stat pad. SMH/LOL

I understand RG3 struggled the first 2 games. But those were his first 2 games after ACL injury 9 months ago. I'm sure most of us don't know how it's like to suffer an ACL injury and get back into a sports where others take pride in inflicting pain on other. That poo is not easy. He struggled but as the game and season progress it is apparent that he is getting better. I don't believe in piling on a guy who suffered an ACL injury because he is getting more attention than my QB. In fact, I'm becoming more of a fan. The more they pile on him the more I'll support him.

As far as the eye test goes. The dude really knows how to throw that football. By the way, did anyone see that 65 yard bomb he threw to Robinson(which he dropped)? And he does that almost on a weekly basis. As far as the Redskins offense, they do move the ball down the field quite easily. RG3 is relatively struggling and NOT bottom of the barrel Sanchez kind of struggle. Don't get it twisted. Kind similar to Cam who relatively struggled last year but was still breaking records.

As far as Luck is concerned, based on the eye test it is apparent that he is a game manager. And the colts are building the offense around his skill set. Luck was never that 40 attempt/game type at Stanford. He was playing completely out of character last year. He just didn't have the skills to handle what they were asking him to do, thus he was erratic. A Power running game, a decent OL for those 5 yard routes(safe throws), and a good defense, that's where Luck flourish. Heck, they barely ask him to put the ball up. They're handling him like Harbaugh handled Alex Simth.

I think even if he hadn't torn his ACL....

RGIII and Kapernick were going to take a step back and struggle more to open up this year regardless....and that gets lost.  The zone read for those 2 teams was a much bigger crutch for them than it was for Cam his rookie year.  Teams had an offseason to study them.  Neither were asked to consistently make as many tough throws like Cam or Luck for example as rookies

the only problem with the bolded part is that HE put that attention on himself. With his daily press conferences, his catch phrase t-shirts that he copyrighted "all in for week 1," and his documentary about his recovery, and him questioning his head coach. That is why McNabb said what he said. And guess what? He was right all along. He still got blasted for it.

I think RG3 is a decent passer, but he has looked awful and has deserved the backlash and criticism because of it.  Everybody would just say, "oh man, he's still trying to get back into the swing of things." but he has been a cocky, disrespectful egotistical dick during this entire process.

The 9ers was up on the patriots like 30 to 7 last year sometimes in the 3rd, the patriots came back and made it a contested game one possession game. Should the QB's stat become meaningless once their team is down big? Maybe we should put an asterisk on that stat to.

For the eagles-redskins game, the eagles was up 33-20 with 12:30 left in the fourth, AND, most importantly, the score was still 33-20 with 9:15 to go in the 4th with redskin possession. That's not a contested game? Should the eagles have brought in the backups?

You were the one saying how all his 975 passing yards were accumulated during garbage time and I just debunk your claim. Like i said, stop feeling yourself by making bogus claim.

I don't know what's so hard to understand about the Eagles letting off the gas when they were up 33-0 and RG3 couldn't do so much as complete a pass.

The defense went conservative and gave up easy routes, keeping the Redskins offense in front of them so they could tackle them and let the clock run out to milk the lead, they similarly went conservative on the offensive side.

Now I will admit that the Eagles almost fuged up by doing it a bit too early, but then again it was Chip's first game as a coach.

And no, I never said all of his stats were accumulated in garbage time.  I said a good majority of them were, anyone who says otherwise is fuging lying to themselves to try and find some consolation in Griffin's play so far.

Once again, I don't have a stake in this.  You're the one that acts all butthurt because people are acknowledging a good majority of RG3's stats this year are a facade.

The thing is though RG3 set himself up for this poo with his press conferences and telling everyone the day after his surgery he'd be back by week one. Now if he plays like poo because his ACL surgery was only 9 months ago (which you have so cleverly bolded for emphasis), it's basically on him.

The Redskin started 3-6 last year and the defense was and still is one of the worse in the league. And I'm sure if RG3 wasn't injured they'd be running a lot more of the option thus controlling the clock. But, even though they're not running the option they still move the ball down field pretty well and RG3's stat(325 yards/game, 63%) is NOT struggling QB stat however you rationalize. Morris is also doing work. The offense ranks 5th offensively in yardage. So, the problem, like last year, still lies on their defense.

As far as tough throws go, you'd be lying if you say RG3 is incapable of making though throws. It's a weekly highlight for him. Your point is well taken but when you exaggerate it minimizes it because I watch the games too. I can't speak for Kaepernick because I don't think he is a pure passer. But RG3 is. I have good eyes for those things. Many of the QBs today I took notice of them since their time on Rivals because of their passing ability. Guys like Bridgewater, Rodgers, Geno, RG3, etc. have the uncanny ability to throw the football and I saw them coming before stepping a foot on campus. Whether they make it professionally is a different story. Those guys were always gifted passers. Guys like Manuel, Jamarcus, gabbert, quinn, etc. were always just coached QBs.

Sorry to say, but Cam is not a gifted passer. And it doesn't mean he can't do what the gifted passers do, he just have to focus more to do them. And when he is not paying attention the result shows.
