Aaron Rodgers 2012. One of the most sacked QBs.. 108 QB rating and 39 TDs.

It's possible to note that Cam needs to improve without placing all the blame for our losses on him.  not everyone who is commenting Cam needs to improve is doing so, but quite a bit seems to be directed at Cam not being "good enough."  Good enough for what, exactly?  To win with this offense?  I don't think many QBs could...

The problem IS Cam not the O line. Packers 2012 O line was abysmal and Rodgers was one of the most sacked QBs in the league and his QB rating was still 108 and he had 39 TD passes. What more is it going to take before we realize Cam is not and never will be elite. Even Jay Cutler plays pretty solid under a abysmal O line. Dont get me wrong, our O line is terrible but so was the Packers. Elite QBs perform well in spite of bad O line play.

Rodgers is known for holding onto the football too long. And their WRs are no joke either.

It's a valid point. Always makes me wonder.

Especially when you hear people talk about how he "speaks" in press conferences.

I like how I still see random comments on some panther press conferences a couple years into his career with people saying poo like "oh wow he sounds way smarter than I thought he would."  I'm just waiting for someone to compliment him on how articulate he sounds.

He's progressing at a SLOW rate due to the stupid coaching staffs.

He is not progressing any slower or faster than most QBs early in their careers and that is my point.

Even Wilson, Kaep, and RG3 look either worse or the same as last year so far this year.

It is s progression of fits and starts. You have some good games then some terrible ones. Usually you will have some good seasons then a regressive one.

This idea that you will just get better every week and every year is a myth. It is uneven at best for 4-5 seasons before QBs really settle in.

I am.not saying he is going to become Peyton Manning, just that he is no where near as good as he will be, yet he is still already pretty darn good.

In the preseason bold predictions thread I said I thought that Cam's play would be about the same as the last two seasons and the media and fans would think he is playing better or worse depending on our record.

And i said that based off of historical perspective of QBs development.

Believe it or not I do think he is getting better each season even if the stats aren't going way up or down, but he still has a ways to go.

most elite quarterbacks make their receivers look good.

it's the reason why they seem to always have a good receiving corp.

Really? How do they do that? Are those teams taking application? I wanna be a good receiver who runs a 4.3 and get paid million too. That greg jennings, what will he do without rodgers.

myth.

look at brady pre-moss/welker, with moss/welker and post-moss/welker.

reggie wayne, marvin harrison and dallas clark just weren't that good, huh? same with thomas, decker and welker?

every qb needs good receivers to put up big numbers.

Don't forget pierre garcon, who is now a legitimate #1 receiver for the redskins. peyton was smart enough not to go to oakland when he was a free agent. Mind you that The Golden Calf of Bristol took the broncos to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

i tell you it's shocking to me that people who insist that offensive lines and skill position players don't matter at all when it comes to a quarterback's performance seemingly don't know what a west coast offense even is

They're dumb, drunken fanatics. Their job is to react to INTs and in-completions. Unlike the billionaires who own teams and draft the players.

Honestly I think a big problem this franchise has is lack of perspective for one reason or another.  It mightbe the relative age of the franchise or something, but I feel that a lot of people are having trouble seeing how relatively little time has elapsed in terms of Cam's time in this league.  We need to realize he has always been raw and he is improving, it just takes time.

Honestly, outside of the abomination of the Arizona game, I thought Cam was playing far better.  I expect him to have the occasional bad game as he is still a young player and we don't exactly have support for him or anyone else to lean on, offensively, if he isn't playing great.
