Do you guys really truly think that Cam had 8,000 yards in his first two seasons, had the best beginning to a career ever, then in his third year is like "Hur I forgot how 2 footballs"

Of fuging course it's Shula.

Huddle or no huddle doesn't matter if Cam's just getting "Hang on, ummmm" in his earpiece for 25 seconds.

I wonder if Shula has his dad on FaceTime during games. Maybe that's why it takes so long to get plays in.

"Dad, 2 and 7, what should I call?"

*buffering*

"Dad?"

*buffering*

"Dad? Playclock is running!"

*buffering*

He was magnificent untill the Cardinals adjusted, and RR/Shula were sleeping on the sideline.

yes the playcalling could have, should have adjusted, but Cam has to see those blitzes coming.  i'm pretty sure he has the freedom to make adjustments at the LOS.  and playaction on our own 5 yard line that resulted in a safety with that rush was just terrible on Shula.

Shula wasn't making reads and throwing picks.

I'm not a Cam hater but look at his body of work so far this season and he's declined/not improved from last year. It's tough to separate Cam's play and the play calling but you can't put all the blame on Shula and Rivera.

Here's a screencap from a random incomplete pass play I chose from coaches film.

I guarantee you, this was not the only one where Cam has absolutely 0 possibilities to get rid of the ball:

Yeah it's no big deal when your receivers are dropping touchdown passes and fourth down passes that hit them right in the chest.

Again I'm not trying to single Cam out, he's not the only one turning in a poor performance this season. There's a line between omg Cam isn't a franchise QB and omg Cam is a future HOFer fire Chud fire Rivera. It's somewhere in the middle, closer to the latter hopefully.

Did he throw it away, scramble, or take a sack?

pretty sure this thread is about Newton improving.  we are all aware of the ineptness from the rest of the team.

This thread is actually about a damn press conference. It's already delved into the usual because, well, it's the Carolina Huddle.

the ONLY possibility, although tight, was the comeback to Smith, which is a timing route greatly disturbed by a collapsing pocket.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
