Why didn't Luck lift up his team and get them more than one trip into the red zone?

BTW I think Luck is good. And I don't care if he went back to school.

My frustration is the media anointment he has received when other guys even in his draft are equal or better than him.

He literally always gets a pass or excuses made for him while other guys (ahem) are not given the same benefit of the doubt

My frustration comes from posters on here. How come it is okay to tear down RGIII, Wilson, or Kaepernick, but when it comes to Luck it is "well let's not bash one QB to try to make Cam look good"?

There was literally a thread on here about RGIII being garbage yet not one ran to the defense of the QB that on one leg outplayed Luck last year...regular season or post season.

It is mighty convenient for Huddlers to be soo quick to defend the honor of Luck all while the other three (four if we count newton) is constantly being questioned.

That's one. Give me more bc right now I can give you a hand full of names.

Point: Doesnt matter what you did in college. It matters what you're doing right now.

Is T3bow better than Cam? He has 2 NC compare to Cam's 1.

The Golden Calf of Bristol & Cam have 1 NC each.

The Golden Calf of Bristol & Can each sat on the bench of a 2nd team that won a NC.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has ONE NC. Chris Leak has ONE NC.

My friend was just talking about this...how everyone seems to forget The Golden Calf of Bristol was a back up spot duty QB. If The Golden Calf of Bristol gets credit for that Championship then Ryan Perrilloux should have one too since he started in the SEC championship game and was named MVP.

Doesnt matter. He helped won one with Leak. Thats two. Very impressive. Too bad his college resume' didnt help him in the pro.

It's the media. They exploit the weak. I think that Luck gets a "pass" bc he's "WHITE" and is considered to be a true pocket passer. Hate it or love it, it's the truths. But, most importantly he has a charisma and leadership among him. People likes that. I know I do. Luck isnt on the sideline with a towel over his head or lifting weights by himself. He isnt out there attacking his HC (RG3).

Just imagine, if Cam wasnt the QB of this team, wouldnt you think Cam is pretty annoying sulking on the sideline? Guarantee you sure would.

The man has charisma and leadership. Why cant fans just give credit where credit is due. SMFH

Please tell me you've been drinking this evening.

If they had another QB besides Luck they would be undefeated this season.

They have had only two games where they were behind by less than a TD late in the fourh quarter this season and they are 0-2.

He isn't getting it done in clutch situations this year. Luck is holding them back.

i can't tell if you're being serious or if you're using sarcasm to point out the double-standard surrounding cam newton

the luck hate needs to stop. he is a very talented QB. yes, the media does hype him up to the point that it is a little unbearable (i also think this media hype has lead many of you to despise luck and to judge him unfairly) but there is no denying his talent. if you truly do believe he is a scrub then i'm sorry, you truly don't know poo about football.

people are taking this double-standard cam is treated with and applying it to luck. he isn't perfect, he does make mistakes, but this is his 2nd fuging year in the NFL. what he has accomplished so far is pretty damn impressive.

Agree!!!

Let me correct you too: "people are taking this double-standard cam is treated with and applying it to Luck, Wilson, Kaepernick, and RG3. He isn't perfect, he does make mistakes, but this is his 2nd fuging year in the NFL."

Not really. If Alex Smith can improve a 2-14 team to a winner also and The Golden Calf of Bristol and Marc Sanchez can have a bunch of 4th quarter comebacks, all Luck did as a rookie was beat a bunch of shitty teams and only complete 54% of his passes.

Well that's exactly the point.

He's still young, and learning. But Indy fans aren't insufferable dumb asses calling for him to be traded, like some of our fans with Cam.

    • There always has been collusion, as long as I have been a fan. It sure looks like they tweaked outcomes too. Good luck proving it. As much as I despise a lot of the ownership I'm still not sure what would happen if it was forced to change.
    • I had started typing my post hours ago and didn’t finish it and just came back to finish it, posted it, then saw yours and saw we were pretty much saying the same thing - even the games that stick out to us most.  I don’t think a lot of people remember that SF playoff game, but I felt like I had just got mugged in broad daylight.  I remember them calling Mitchell for unnecessary roughness, and then I remember watching Boldin take a super late cheap shot, dead in front of the ref and then showing him watching the whole thing in replay…  the refs let them have a fuging field day and didn’t do jack poo, but if we so much as breathed the wrong way it was fuging 15 yards.  Each team playing under two completely different sets of rules.  poo hurt.  I was enraged.  I’ve never went back to watch either that game or SB50 and never will.  fuging robbery.
    • I’ve said it a million times since, but it’s impossible to keep them from affecting the game.  In SB50, they literally took the game from us, and they did it early.  Cotchery’s no-catch?  The miraculous amount of times we converted for a first down only to have it suddenly called back make it a 3rd down and 15+ against the best defense in the league that specialized in rushing the passer and man coverage on the back end?  And you do that enough times, you kill the morale and confidence of the team you’re doing it against.  It’s telling the one team “you can do whatever with impunity” and the other “you can’t do whatever they’re allowed to do.”  It changes the aggression level.  It essentially neuters one team and allows the other to do whatever the fug they want.  Imagine you call the police for help and they get there and tell you to sit still while the other party beats the poo out of you and you can’t defend yourself.  That’s what the officials do.  There is no way to avoid them affecting the game.  And more often than not, it’s the most subjective calls they use to do so.  Even in SB50…  you saw the Broncos commit more egregious penalties than anything we did, and barely any of it was called.  Their OL was holding all fuging game and the refs did nothing.  We already had our work cut out for us against two future HOF edge rushers and the refs played to their advantage with that.  From what I remember, both Oher and Remmers were called for holding at various times and their hands were in the INSIDE of the defender.  It was garbage, but all by design. Also, if there is any video of it anywhere, go look at what the refs did against us back in 2013 against SF.  The fix was in there too.  They stepped in early and often and ensured we knew we were not allowed to play with the same aggression or intensity SF was.  It was disgusting as well. at this point, I hope Vince McMahon, errr, I mean Goodell just finally scripts us to win it, because this poo is not won via competition or off merit.
