Flexed SNF games

Might as well go ahead and flex one of our Saints games.

Hopefully the one at BOA. That would mean were in contention for the wild card and/or division andddddd I lucked into $65 first row sideline seats on the upper deck for a night game of significance. Got tickets to the Pats game so two night games in one year plus Our defenses intensity could finally be lifted by the crowd

Gotta win some games or they aint gonna flex shyt.

Was this quip meant to state the obvious? Or was it meant to show a, wait and see, attitude?

Sounds like you are not convinced we are capable of running our winning streak to 8 when we meet the aints? If we want a Divisional Crown. We cannot lose another game. So when we spank the aints, we own 1st place.

In fact, I contend, we not only do all that, but we spank the aints so thoroughly, that when we meet again in 2 weeks, they haven't yet recovered from the 1st beat down.

Second best, spank the 9ers next week, and we own the Wild Card.

If we continue to move the ball consistently, keep scoring, and make your life miserable on Defense. We are going to keep on winning.

At this point in time. The 9ers, and the aints are the only 2 teams left that can provide much more than a practice/scrimmage type game.

With Cam back to being Cam, teamed with our Defense.

Yeah, we gots this.

I admire your confidence, I don't share it however.

Show me Rivera. No talk, just do.

Challenge...Accepted.

Rivera took over a team, and FO, that was a mess. He taught, coached, and lead that team to a fine finish. Then he let Chud talk him into going overboard with Cam. The team struggled as Chud went crazy. Once he dialed Chud back in, which did take too damm long, we got back to winning.

We have been winning for a year now. Don't let that hiccup at the beginning of the year cloud your vision.

So let's recap. Growth and better play in the 1st year. So he won that one.

Season 2, was a tale of 2 halfs. 1st half he let Chud cost us our season. 2nd half, he got us back on track. We were playing very good football down the stretch. Enough so, to save his job. Push.

This year. A rough 1-3 start was threatening to blow everything up. But noooo, he once again was able to rally the troops. And a 3 game winning streak has ensued. He has finally bought into his own philosophy. Aggression, and pressure, can be a good things. Even on 4th down.

So in summary. Rivera has lead, and assembled a staff that has this team playing well in all aspect of the game. Sure Gettlemen has helped by filling in the bottom of the roster, but it is Rivera and Co. that have this team playing the way they do.

Believe it or not. We are a pretty damm good team. And Rivera is a huge reason why.

IMO, his in game management has improved by light-years from whence it began. He has grown into the role, and become what many of us hoped he would.

Challenge... Conquered. I win, you win, everyfuggingbody wins. This team is headed in the right direction. We have an actual "Football Guy" running the show. We have Cam for the Offense, and Keek for the Defense. We have a Defensive minded HC who has embraced the future.

The future has already started. We are living it. Man, that is all that matters. We have only started this train ride. We gots lots of years left. Just enjoy it.

Rivera and Shula very well could be together for a very long time. I can live with that.

Very nice.

In 4 weeks we'll know how the story turns out.

Must watch Football for sure.

Hellz, this is just the first year, of what should be every year, of Cam's career, where playoffs are a real possibility. As long as Cam is Cam, Rivera stays the course, and Gettlemen continues to improve us, yeah, we that good.

The light went on for Cam last year after an encounter with a Manning. His revival this year came During another Manning matchup. Maybe Cam can talk them into adopting him?

As long as we take care of our own house, beat atl and the Fins, who are both struggling, on the road, we very well could be looking 11 wins in the face. Sweep the aints? We are 12-4.

Why not talk about playoffs? The Duo of Shula & Cam, lead by Rivera, backed by McD, gots this.

I love talking about the future, but you are right. The next 3 weeks mean a lot for the seasons hopes. How we handle the 9ers on the road, and the Pats at home, both coming off byes, will be telling. Or not. This is the Panthers. Nothing is as it seems.

    • The only WR that makes sense in the first is KC Concepcion. He fills multiple roles in the offense and is a PR specialist.
    • That depends upon what happens with receiver this year and what happens with free agency next year. Hopefully we'll be good by addressing receiver this year (regardless of whether we snag one in the first round or not). If we don't and are unlucky enough for to Coker get hurt (and X solidifies his bust status, and JAGs be JAGing), then we may be fùçked! But I assume that Dan Morgan and company will feel compelled to look for answers in free agency and use that to set up the draft just like this offseason.  Reality is not as simple as we drafted this position X times in a row in the first. If you're suggesting that we could draft a position in the first four times in a row, that's not likely. At some point probability has to be taken into account. I mean, how many years in a row can you be unlucky with one position?  As I've said at times before, you try and plan for the long term personnel-wise and cap-wise of course, but things happen so, in a sense, you still must look at each season--each "team" if you will--unto itself each season. So many things can happen between now and then. A major industry can profoundly impact the bigger picture (like this year), someone could offer you a trade proposal that you can't resist, players might not have progressed to your expectations--you know, things like that. Moreover, you have to be aware of the dynamics of each draft class, including the fact that there could be unexpected draft risers and fallers during the college season. That's a lot. As of today, we expect the 2027 draft to have more exclamations than question marks at OT and the QB class and WR group is expected to be exceptionally strong. We'll have a clearer picture of whatever we'll have to focus on next year at this time.  Lastly, keep in mind that there's always more than one way to get you to where you want to go. The yearly puzzle is not static, it's dynamic and complex.
    • I'm fine with Thieneman or McNeil-Warren.. Rodriguez won't last until 51 so they would have to trade up, he may end up being a late first round selection. Anthony Hill Jr. is more likely to be available. I don't expect defense in the first round now after the murmurings of finding another weapon for Bryce.
