Going TO the west coast and winning?

That's a well known difficulty for east coast teams.

East coast teams going to the west coast and beating one of the (supposed) best teams in the NFL?

Rare... and fugging AWESOME!

- Average game for Cam, but would have been a lot better if 4 or 5 first down throws hadn't been dropped by the receivers.  Who knows what the momentum of those drives would have been without those drops?

- Great job by the running backs today against a grade-A SF run defense.

- OL?  Meh.  Cam was under pressure all damn day and got hit a lot.  Really didn't expect much different since they were going against the SF defense though.

- Punting?  Great job, Nort.  Kicking?  GODDAMMIT GANO!!! AWESOME KICK GANO!!!

- Defense?  A+++++++++++++++++

- Rivera gets an A for this game.  McDermott gets an A+.  Shula gets a C- for having his head up his ass for most of the game.

This will probably be his best opportunity to stick and raise his value, obviously because of past chemistry with Young, but I don't think that fans can count on it based upon what he's done so far in the league. It would seem that he would've been given that opportunity in Houston, but they not only drafted one, but two receivers. Tells you how they valued him. Philly didn't blink when they traded him to the Jets who refused to tender him, so no one has really valued what he brings--not really. Moreover, Bryce is in the big boy leagues, now. He doesn't have time for sentimentality when it comes to security blankets. T-Mac and Coker are established.  That being said, chemistry can cause explosions under the proper circumstances, but I wouldn't count on Metchie being anything more than a sub-explosion at best.
    • Beyond the locks, that's so gross, there is no reason Tremayne should be our 3rd (as I'm over XL and he shouldn't be higher than #4 on our depth chart this year), just no. It's why I was really hoping we'd just get rid of XL for whatever the best draft pick we can get for him is.  Then sign a true quick twitch guy to be our slot WR, and even then, still hope that Horn Jr might take that spot from them in camp anyways and turn that FA signing into our #4, with Moore as a special teamer who gets a jersey and then Tremayne as that last project.
