3 Game Balls:

Tolbert - thanks for getting that fumble big man!

Defense - you guys showed the world how to spell legit!

DWill - thanks for the TD...Keep Pounding!

Spanking:

Oline- you didnt play as bad as expected, but not great either.

Smitty- please stop dropping balls that hit you in the chest.

Special Teams- for the love of baby Jesus GET THE **CK out of the way of the ball when punted.

Gano - you are somewhere in the middle.  /shrug.

Can't really blame Florence, the punt was partially blocked and randomly bounced into him, he wasn't expecting it to be dropping nearby.  Plus Ginn had some great returns and a FG one the game for us, I wouldn't put special teams on the hot seat.

However, come on Stew, I could tell you were going to fumble that as soon as you turned sideways, keep 2 hands on the ball if you're being tackled by 3 people.

O line- Honestly I think they had a good game. 4 SACKS so not a great game, but deff a good game. I thought they brought heat and overall we did a good job picking it up!

Our three fumbles were... ugh. I know I'm not the only person had flashes of the nightmares that happened last year in Atlanta and in Seattle. We were quite lucky in this game because those last two fumbles had me ready to blow my brains out.

The best:

That Defense... Just wow. Not once all year have I said I think we should pay Hardy, but for the sake of keeping this unit together I think we should. Couple big plays from Greg today.

Ginn has some real nice returns.

Cam to Smitty on third down in the 4th.

This team was able to overcome things that would have forsure resulted in a loss In the past. So just the overall morale of this team to keep fighting and grinding out this victory today was one of the best parts of this game. I think these guys needed a victory like this one just so they know they can win the close ones.

The worst:

1.That munnerlyn drop...smh

Captain dropped a couple easy ones in Tampa too. Got to capitalize when given the opportunity.

2. Smitty and Lafell's drops. The ball actually

Hit Smith right between the 8 and the 9. Lafell's may have been worse since it was a soft that hit him in his hands.

    • The thing I hate about strength of schedule is that NFL teams change so much over a year and past success or failure doesn't really dictate future success or failure
    • Considering you previously struggled to understand BTT despite it being explained in a video, write-up, and multiple replies, I get why this might be a little too complex for you. Happy to clarify again! Just let me know which part tripped you up this time. 😉
    • And, honestly, there's only so much you can attempt to do in the draft. And every draft pick is a roll of the dice. But that's where grabbing a ton of UDFAs, and targeting the best, makes a big difference. Sure, their individual chances of getting a hit here is less, but that shotgun pattern might just hit something.  Right now, we need bulk, partly to rebuild and partly to dilute the deep level of stank that has developed on this team in the last six years. If we're going to rebuild a culture built around culture, accountability and winning, then these UDFAs we bring in each season have to be the wash water that gets out that leftover dirt.  Canales seems to be a smart, culture-first, build up the good ones kind of guy. I like that and I hope he can keep it going here. But he was working against a locker room that had been taught to lose and taught to distrust or ignore coaches. He's got his work cut out for him, still. He does seem to have it moving in the right direction and that's something I was pretty amazed with by the end of last season.
