Long catch today by Wallace where he took two steps, fell, and lost the ball?

Yeah, Miami refs called that a catch.

 

Different set of refs called pretty much the same thing an incompletion today in the Dallas/NYG game.

 

So which is it?  If you catch it, take two steps, get tackled to the ground, and lose the ball is it a completion (a la Mike Wallace)?  Or is it an INcompletion (a la Dez Bryant)?

It was complete. Camera angles weren't conclusive

It's more about consistency.  Different officiating crews unfortunately have different ways of interpreting the rules.  

 

I'm happy we answered all of it with a win and didn't panic.

10 years ago yes, then recently no, but today yes again. They need to be consistant.

Yet the Vernom Davis' fumble a couple weeks ago wasn't a catch...

The officials said "the ruling on the field stands" which means not enough evidence to overturn, as opposed to "the ruling on the field is confirmed" which would have meant the ruling on the field was actually proven to be correct.

Its so inconsistent. I don't what is a catch anymore. From Vernon Davis catch/fumble to the Wallace catch you speak of and the catch they over turned on replay. Idk what to think
