Any experience doing that?

Also in going to a massive movie premier on Thursday where I'll meet all the telagu movie industry people.

And I'm tollywood, not bollywood. Every major religion (5 or so) has its own hollywood type thing. Telagu has 70 million speakers in India, and its movie industry is actually the largest. Each state's movie industry is a little bit different. Mumbai is the most westernized, while the one I'm in is just absolute nonsense the entire time.

Goa is the one that has all the bad ass fight scenes.

i made a martial arts movie when i was 13 and wore a fake mustache and played all the villains and that's the extent of my movie experience

however i hung out with a dude from estonia in australia and he'd just backpacked across india and got approached by an agent who asked him if he wanted to be paid to play a part in a movie and speak english... he ended up on the set for a couple days and got a pretty good chunk of change. i also met a guy who told me he'd done the same thing in thailand, and my thai is passable so i debated trying to worm my way onto the set of one of those excruciating thai soap operas they play on all the busses just for the laffs but i never bothered

edit: actually the estonian guy's experience was with tollywood now that you mention it

btw if you're anywhere near new delhi an old backpacking buddy of mine is a lawyer (and philosopher) and a real cool motherfuger, he could prob give you an inside track to hookups in the city (perhaps not in the film industry but connections are connections)

I'll be at the Chiefs game with my father-in-law celebrating his 60th birthday since going to the game is what he wanted to do, but the last time I missed a Panthers game of this magnitude was for a conference in St. Louis... during the 2003 playoffs... I was literally a block away from the dome during the game and couldn't go or watch on TV.  That turned out well, so I'm keeping the faith.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
