I really hope no one associated with the Panthers or their family members visited the Huddle today.

Some of the attitudes displayed on this site today should be an embarrassment to Panther fans everywhere. This is supposed to be the premier fan site for the Carolina Panthers, a 12-4 team that's 11-1 in their last 12 games, yet many on here are acting as though we have no shot against San Fran.

I hear the whiny comments about how we almost lost to Atlanta on the road and now have to face the all-powerful 49'ers. How many of you watched the 9'ers almost lose at home to those same Falcons save for a fluke interception?

I can feel your fear when you talk about how San Fran had players missing during our first meeting. The only significant 49'er missing was Crabtree. Vernon Davis played. Aldon Smith played. We beat them at home on the scoreboard and we beat them up physically. And guess what, we had players on IR too.

I see the lack of respect some of you are giving to our coaches and players. The same people that got us to the number 2 seed now aren't good enough? If you seriously feel this way, it's probably time for you to stick to fantasy football.

If anyone associated with the Panthers happens to see this, know that the majority of us share your confidence that we can beat anyone, and that starts with the 49'ers next Sunday.

Wash out your vagina. Some people are always negative. It will never change.

KP, I've been viewing this forum since before the server crash, and I always thought you were a decent poster, but you've devolped this new attitude that has really brought down the quality of your posts.

Just thought I'd let you know.

    • Given that the immediate impact we need at edge. We almost certainly address that in Free agency, not in the draft. Same with Linebacker, unless Styles or Allen is still there at 19. I think the same for OT.  What is the position that we could draft in the 1st round and get immediate help in the first is how im approaching their decision-making  I know ill get dragged for this, but im thinking they go DT in the first. A guy that can play right away and be a complement to D.Brown to wreak havoc at the LOS.   So unless a top tier LB is there, I think DT will be the move.
    • I think people forget that by his last season Steve Smith had the ass and he played like it - and for no really good reason other than that other stars were emerging on the team and he didn't want to share the spot light.  He was more of a locker room distraction than he was worth. He went on to have great performances with the Ravens' but G-man made the right move allowing him to move on from here.  I personally think it was addition by subtraction and we don't have a super bowl run with Smith on the roster. Steve Smith remains a narcissist who I've never seen internalize his own culpability when it comes to his relationships with others - it's always somebody else's fault as to why he was forced to act like an asshole. This video is a product ad.  I'm cringed that either of these two Panther greats are party to it.
    • I think the ‘issue’ here is that we had two guys that clashed for several reasons. In some ways they were different, but in other ways they had a lot in common, and sadly they couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Sometimes when you have two people like that together they are either going to love or hate each other, and if it’s the latter, you need someone to mediate and hope the two individuals are capable of putting their differences aside for the common good. In this instance, they couldn’t find a way to move forwards together because I don’t think either guy wanted to play second fiddle to the other. This video basically said neither guy had the tools to bridge that gap and mend that fence, and perhaps also were unwilling to give an inch at that stage in their lives and careers. So a divorce, while unfortunate, was always likely. Do we win the Super Bowl with Smitty and Cam? Well, it’s one of life’s big what ifs for us Panthers fans.
