What 49ers Fans are Saying

Listening to the Whiners fans, I'm surprised that the Panthers haven't forfieted yet.

I'm looking forward to a Seahawks/Panthers NFCCG at the Clink. Hopefully, both our teams will do their part to make it happen.

you guys sure are wordy.

Something that most Niners fans have never seen nor can comprehend......a fan base that can use words with more than one syllable and actually put multiple words together into complete and coherent sentences.

Please feel free to stay a while and learn a thing or two.

Tough battle coming up this Sunday.

I do not think however it will be won or lost because Crabtree is in the game, or Davis, or Bolden.

The OLine of the 49ers vs the DLine of the Panthers is where it will be decided.  In the first matchup, the Panther DLine gave Kap very little time to find any receiver, no matter his name.  GB gave him all kinds of time to find RB's, TE's and WR's.

If we get another big day as far as sacks, hurries, and hits on Kap, then we are in the game.  If we cannot get to him like last game, it will put the pressure on our offense to repeatedly score and my confidence wanes a bit there.

Can't wait until Sunday

As far as sucking in the redzone, Carolina scores a TD on 55.56% of their redzone possesions.  The 49ers are 54.24%.  Carolona is ranked 12th while san Fran is 14th.  Pretty much the same.  And Kaep has 15 TD passes and 2 INT in the redzone this year, while Cam has 17 TDs and 3 INT.  Preety damn even.

You forgot points scored against each other.

Panthers 10

You           9

I dont want to knock on the guy, especially since he has been making plays for us, I just dont think clutch is the word for him yet. None of our receivers have been clutch this year.

On this team, our clutch players are mostly on defense. And thats ok with me. We still need a big, tall and physical WR1.

Are you fugging serious?

Cam has done absolutely everything he can do to deserve being called clutch.

What else do you want?

Your defense is NOT our equal... Allows 2ppg more and has 38 sacks...

We had 60....

That's funny. You can keep your extra sacks and revel in the 2 points per game--much like your ONE point win. It will all shake out on Sunday and I'll be back on Monday to read your thoughts on how the SF D is not equal to the Panther D.

I can guarantee this dude will not be back. None of them ever are.

was back last time. so i guess you're wrong about "ever" and will be wrong about your guarantee. what is it with some people that think that it's a big deal to come back to a site to gloat or eat crow? i do it all the time...thankfully not much with my team. did it on ravens page after super bowl....not a big deal. but you know what is a big deal? being able to come back to GLOAT. now that is fantastic. I would have done it at the seahags site, but got banned last year for lamenting their loss to ATL.

i don't buy into stats, W-L that's all that matters. Game day all that will matter is scoring and turnovers. If we play the stat game,  our offense is 3 pts better (+1 over your 2 pt lead in D) and +1 better in turnovers than your offense. Which, OF COURSE, if we do the math means we are gonna win. Right? I mean ... stats, they're the godsend.

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
