Rivera: "We're at home. We'll show up and play."

I pied you because I agree for the most part.

But, rarely, sometimes two defensive powerhouses come to play like San Fran and Carolina, and defensive wars are actually a game of feild position 9 times out of 10.

If this game shapes up like it did last time with almost no scoring, then I wont mind a little bit of conservative playcalling. A little bit, like not going for it on 4th and 2 on our own side of the field... stuff like that.

Other than that, bring on the Riverboat.

I agree, however 4th and goal or 4th and short in their territory and we better be going for it especially because our defense should be able to hold them

Oh, you guys, really, really, don't understand how much not having Crabtree and VD handicapped us, but, Continue on how much Carolina was so much better.

Continue with the dumbass excuses

Drew Brees came in here with Graham, ques, stills and co and got their asses handed to them

Can't wait for you guys to get kicked out of BOA on your collective asses fan and team both

I disagree, I believe the score is going to be higher than last time but 24-14 , but we gotta play to win and we will!

You mean how much Kaep missed Vernon Davis while he was playing the gd game?

I mean you know he started that game right? You do know he got knocked the fug out?

Also you guys were coming off a bye week, at home, and couldnt come up with a gameplan that would beat us.

Anything else?

Here Ill give you some talking points to discuss with you your life partner after the game Sunday.

Well, we had to travel.

It was theThird road game in a row.

Them damn refs.

You can even take one from our Saints trolls, " That damn Gordell! He hates our headcoach!"

Ice up son.

1 or 21, a W is a W....

Looking forward to a good, tough game. Like I said in another thread, my Mom & bro-in-law are SF fans, I do not have the dislike others do. Before last weekend happened, SanFran was my last choice of who I wanted to play. The whole 'tougher to beat a team twice' clique, which is why I wanted PHI or GB, because I really wanted the Panthers to go to Seattle... All that is now moot as the 49ers won, theyre next, your on the menu...

Here.. Try this, say it with me... Who wants to play in Carolina?

NOBODY!!!!

Brees came in with Colston, Henderson, Graham, Sproles, and Ingram and managed only 13 pts.

The Niners offense is nowhere near the Saints offense...keep thinking you are in their league.

Yeah, first half, Yea, knocked out, not a full game, at most, a sample size. Nah, Goodell Refs hated us when they called that a roughing the passer on Brees. It was a tough game, nonetheless, but, still, which defense broke first was ours, cause, both QB's didn't play to their potential, even with the stout defenses. I expect much much better from both.

Your offense is pedestrian....plain and simple.

See.. i will give credit where credit is due.. 9ers have a decent team... solid line backer corp... good receivers. decent line on both sides of the ball, and a good coach..

not to mention they have a pretty decent  read and run qb... i like to equate him to a ferrari...something like a berlinetta.. if you do it right, its awesome.. but if you fug up.. he eats it...

that said.. since we have such equal teams... i feel like i should introduce you to our difference maker....

    • The era that you played in, and, more importantly, who you played with actually matters. Honestly, that's why these issues will be debated forever, as it's just difficult to say that this person or that person is better when you're discussing the passage of time. As for me, after Rice, Moss and maybe Megatron and T.O., there's probably a dozen or so guys that can be argued about to the cows come home. Personally, I'm not putting Fitz, Harrison, Johnson, Evans, or especially D-Hop, Jefferson, Chase or Hill definitely in front of Smitty (and Colston ain't even in the discussion). Context and all that stuff actually matters. Things like the triple crown matter.
    • Some of those guys? Yeah honestly you can.  I would 100% take Steve Smith over Larry Fitzgerald, Harrison, even Mike Evans. He is 100% a better player than those guys in his prime. If you look at the numbers Smith is historically under targeted in comparison to his contemporaries. He was only targeted 150 times or more only once in his career. Fitzgerald for example was targeted well above that 9 different seasons. Had Smith played with Peyton, Brady, Greatest Show on Turf, or even with Warner in Arizona he would broken records. His 2008 season was ridiculous accumulating 1400 yards in 13 games on less than 80 receptions. All time he also lost a season due to injury in 04, barely played WR as a rookie. Got robbed of 1k season with Clausen. Thats easily another 1800yds minimum that should have been tacked on to his #s. The only guys I’d say for certain are better than Smith are Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown.
    • I parked in this lot a few times. It would take over and hour to get out of that lot after games. Never again
