Wide Receivers so far

Benjamin hasn't declared yet and Not sure where Matthews is at.  But looking at that list there are already EIGHT guys listed as First round guys!  Thats without these 2.  That shows how DEEP this class is at WR.  Luckily for us as well only 3-4 teams including us are realistically need to look at WR in the 1st round (plus not many more in the second).  We could Easily see the 3rd best WR in this class fall all the way to us then 6th or 7th in the 2nd round.

Or kelvin benjamin

Would actually like to see them try to trade down out of the 1st and pick up another 2nd and future 1st or another 3rd this year.

Still double dip at WR with those 2 2nd's then if have 2 3rd's, go OL and DB or double OL (RT and OG)

Cooks is very good, if he can show up to the combine and run mid 4.4s, he'll start getting his due. His ability to beat press in college bodes well for his future in the league. Seen some compare him to Cruz.

Yeah, I think alot will ride on this kids 40 time at the combine.

With that said, I do not want Cooks in the first. I want a big WR. I don't see Cooks as a number 1 in the NFL and if we are drafting a receiver in the first. I want one with number 1 potential.

    • Honestly, 2020 and 2021 were the years we sat on our asses like idiots. First being 2020.  Love may have been the one we missed out on with a trade down or a trade up from our 2nd pick.  And Hurts was a totally viable 2nd rounder to take a flier on after going DB. Love in particular was one of those top guys pre-college season, but he had a lot of TOs his last year and some iffy decision making pegged him back by scouts. If we hired a staff with a decent plan and vision (instead of Rhule and whatever he wanted to do) willing to groom him behind a vet, that may have been the money bet.  2021, it was Fields.  We could've tried him on for size, even if it didn't work, it would have put us in position to draft a QB in 2024. It all sucks.  We chased.
