Anyone else worried about the LS?

I have been swamped with a new job, and have not had tons of time to devote to NFL, but is anyone else with me.

The LS position has been held down for quite some time by Kyle...is there anyone out there that we think can be an upgrade, or for that matter, an equal?

Give me the scoop.

Maybe I'm bad at reading comprehension, but Jason Kyle is no longer on our roster, was that what you meant or did you still think he was? We have Jansen listed as a LS and Sundberg too. Also Kahlil and King have done it in college successfully. Not sure who will get the nod. So we have 4 LS's to compete for the job in TC...

I know that he was let go, just was saying that he has been close to perfect for years, and I was wondering who we can get to do as good of a job.

Many fans may not think much of it, but I believe that a LS is a pretty damn important position. Hopefully we will be fine, and most likely we will be.

Just something that was on my mind.

They will be fine

Folks were worried sick when Minter retired

Folks said there is no way the team could cut Hankton he's a team caption

Folks said Saurenberge was a great punter and team would not be the same

It's time for Kyle to step aside and yes ,bad snaps will happen.

They did for all LS early on .

But the Panthers will have youth at that position for seasons to come

It was time to say goodbye, he was what, 37 or 38? It was time to shred his salary. Hopefully it won't come back to haunt, I'm sure that's what you are thinking as well...

thats what I was talking about...

Just didn't know what the team was looking at as a replacement.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
