I'm the same way.

I got a heart rate monitor for Christmas last year and set a goal to burn 100k calories in 2013. I destroyed it, though I did slow pace in the last quarter of the year. Now 100k cals may not seem like a ton to some guys on here but remember I'. 125ish pounds, so it's harder for me to burn calories.

I'd like to get one of those for a backpacking trip.  You burn some serious calories doing that for about 3 days.

I'm stuck with my $10 per month Planet Fitness membership until I have a house with enough space for a workout room.

I have the $19/ month Planet Fitness black Card membership so I can use it any any location around the country during my travel.

Yeah as cheesy as PF is sometimes, you can't beat that price.

No kidding, poo is cheap.

Speaking of cheesy, I was on the treadmill last night at the PF near my house and I keep hearing this alarm going off through the music in my headphones. I took off my ear piece to get a better listen and there was a guy benching and slamming plates around. Turns out the sound I was hearing was the "Lunk Alarm"? fuging weird.

Exactly. I'm constantly trying not to "grunt" when I'm lifting heavy ass dumbbells.

Here are the dumbells I went with and I friggin love them.

http://www.amazon.com/Bowflex-SelectTech-1090-Adjustable-Dumbbell/dp/B000OC5RXE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390394627&sr=8-2&keywords=dumbbells+bowflex

A turn of the dial and the weight is changed. Very sturdy, no mess or taking off collars and stacking weights. Literally takes 3 seconds to change the weight.

They go from 5 - 90 lbs in 5 pound increments which is heavy or light enough for everything the wife and I do.

Exercise bike being delivered today for a cardio warmup. Fug this cold stuff. Mountain biking will wait until spring.

definitely want those. they are great and save so much space in your home

    • Kind of where I'm at on this also. I think he has the potential to be an all pro caliber guard if he can come back 100%. He's more mauler than quick. Hunt is making 20m per, Moton is making 22m. Moton is a better RT than Icky is a LT so I think the pay comp would probably be about the same there. I don't see Icky as a 28m per season LT. He'll be low 20s and as an elite guard, i think he'd be within a couple mill of that.
    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
