I normal don't read comments on articles, but LOLOL at the guy commenting on that who said "put Cam on the Saints and watch him win 3 games." I'm sure the guy is butthurt that Angelo put Cam above Brees, but how is he helping his argument? He's basically saying the Panther's non-QB offensive talent > the Saints LOL.

 

If Cam had the Saint's weapons+another few years of experience and a good OC, he could put up an MVP type season.

Great to see a football man,Jerry Angelo (former Bears GM),rank Cam so high.He had him listed way ahead of the other young QB guns. Just think Cam,in my opinion, will only get better and bette,especially if we can add more offensive help. Stay tuned the best is yet to come,where Cam and the Panthers are concerned.

What QB doesn't need help? In fact, majority of QB in the league are more help dependent than Cam because he's a 3500 and 500 guy. Correction, 4000 and 700. Find me another guy like that in the league. Do you know how many 1st downs are in 700 rushing yards? A lot.

4000 and 700 doesn't matter, he was 6-10 and 7-9 with those stats.His stats went down and we got better. we got better because of the D. The D was ranked 4th in league.The O was 24th overall ,11th rushing and 27th passing.

you're kidding yourself into thinking I said that. physically gifted sure but that isn't what carried this team. He was physically gifted last year and the year before but we had no D. What has changed? it was a team effort in general but there is no way you cannot give the credit to the D as the major contributor to the improvement this year. They carried this team above anyone else.

because cam is solely responsible for the 6-10 and 7-9 season............not rivera's coaching, or the same d that carried us giving up game winning drives but Cam Newton

As for trolling I would say that just because you disagree doesn't make it trolling.Again trolling to you is not agreeing or not giving an answer you approve of.when the D was bad Cam had better stats we had losing records.when the D got better Cam's stats went down and we had a much better record.So in response to the poster who offered the stats as proof it clearly knocks it down.

You are using a great defense this season as a knock against cam. It's your choice but just realize that it makes you sound like a troll because I'm sure you wouldn't use the same argument as a knock against russell wilson and kaepernick. Both of them are qb's that got carried by their team's defense. Russel Wilson's last 7-8 games offensively have been very underwhelming compared to his number 1 defense but I'm sure fans of the seattle fanbase aren't using the defense as a knock against their qb which you seem to be doing against cam. He got the job done when needed in the regular season and so did cam. Get Cam more weapons and as he continues to improve he will do even better. There is no reason to point out the defense as some sort of derision of what cam did in a thread about other gm's being high on what cam has done and what he can do in the future.

Cam is a part of why the team got better not just the d but the team as a whole starting from the new GM to Rivera growing some balls, Cam's yardage drop could have happen for alot of reasons......a new OC, Guys like Ginn and lafell dropping balls, steve smith and olsen not being the only guys getting open,ect. The D was as good as it was because the Offense had big time consuming drives in which cam converted alot of 3rd downs to keep the drive going.

 

in all the d did not carry the team,nor the offense they mesh with each other throughout the season.

 

but to say the d carried the team is very very absent mind
