Ray Guy Finally Makes It Into HOF

I said it in the other thread and I'll say it here as well:

Today's media isn't qualified to make these kinds of decisions. The NFL needs to establish a committee of trusted people who have been heavily involved with the game for a long time and have them make the decisions.

This isn't about Guy, I think it's cool a punter got in and he deserved to, but overall the media just doesn't have the ability to get this right anymore. Journalistic integrity and standards have fallen astronomically in the last 20 years and there is nothing that separates these media types from the typical fan.

Aye, putting anything in the hands of the likes of Peter King is a mistake.

The Hall of Fame leaves a lot to be desired in regards to its balloting and voting process (pun most certainly intended).

Ray Guy should have been in two decades ago. He was really the first modern-day punter---the trailblazer that showcased directional kicking and hang time.  The fact that I was a child, and still remember him is amazing. I'm sitting back and tried to think of other kickers of his era, but I can't remember anyone else.

Journalistic integrity....What's that?

Today's media's feel more like the Good Ole Boy's Exclusive Club. We don't like something about you, you're irrelevant to us. This is what happens when you allow NEVER-played and ex-players with agenda,  run the show for the NFL thanks to dollars.

U can always guarantee a ex-player working for the media to get into the HOF before anyone else; especially if you work for NFLN.
