I just threw my brother's girlfriend & her poo on the street...

Oops.

So 4 months ago my brother called & said he got a job offer here in Asheville. He asked if he could move in & stay until this summer while he saved up some money. I live alone so I didn't see a problem. I moved from a 2 bed 1 bath apt into a 2 bed 2 bath condo & he is paying half the rent & utilities while he is here. I think the lease runs out in May.

Well, about 2 months ago he started messing around with his ex-gf again & I guess they're back together. She still lives in Hickory, though. At first she would come up & stay one night a weekend or he would go & stay with her on the weekend. Then a few weekends so she came & stayed from Friday night until early Monday morning. She is loud, obnoxious, & ridiculously messy. They eat food & leaving the trash sitting around everywhere. It's bad enough I have to tell my brother to clean up after his damn self, I don't have time to babysit 2.

After she finally left I told my brother if she's gonna come stay here she better clean up after herself & quit acting like it's her own damn place. She doesn't live here.

Well, she came up again on Friday around noon & she is still fuging here. She's ate my food, left dirty dishes laying all over the kitchen, & food dishes sitting in the living room. Hell, they went to sonic yesterday & when I woke up her food wrappers & a half full milkshake was laying in the living room floor. She has done a load of laundry every fuging day. Friday she washed my brothers towels, Saturday she washed his clothes, then Sunday she did her own fuging laundry. Now today I came home at lunch to put away my laundry I did last night & walk my Doberman & she has thrown my clean clothes in my bedroom floor & is doing another load of laundry. And the living room/kitchen is still cluttered with their garbage.

I was gonna call my brother & politely tell him she had to be gone before I got home tonight but before I could she pushed me over the edge. I heard her yell & I went into the living room. She was sitting on my sofa eating & yelled at my dobie for jumping on the sofa to lay down & told me to get him away from her. Not that it matters, but my Doberman is a personal protection trained European dobie. He was just laying down, not all in her face & annoying. It's where he always sleeps. In fact, he doesn't pay a bit of attention to anyone other than me.

NO BITCH YOU GET THE fug OUT. THAT'S HIS SOFA.

I'm sure it will end well.

He'll get over it.

So girlfriend had no idea she was bothering you, you never talked to her and you just kicked her out? How about setting the boundaries first before booting her out while ur bro is at work?

I've got onto my brother since he moved in about cleaning up after himself. I asked him to talk to her about being filthy when she is here. I've asked her not to leave garbage laying around. Especially food because it's all crap my dog doesn't need to eat.

I'm done "talking" & pretty much begging people to be clean & respectful guests in my home. It's bad enough she leaves crap laying everywhere like a 5 year old & uses more water than me & jacks up the thermostat & runs the electric bill up. Start throwing my personal belongings around & yelling at my dog & buh bye. She has no business being here for 4-5 days straight anyway.

The lease is in my name & my name only. He pays rent because he isn't freeloading on me, not that I need him to. He's free to leave any time.

I hardly just told her to leave without taking first. He's 21 & she's 23. I'm not going to babysit them & clean up after them.

but is she hot?

Not compared to my gf.

Besides, I don't think you understand. She yelled at my dog. I love my dog more than others love their kids.

    • Hello, soccer fans [crickets, tumbleweed flies by]. The World Cup kicks off in less than 2 weeks and, well, 🇺🇸USA USA USA🇺🇸 and all. We beat Senegal 3-2 yesterday in a tune-up friendly at BoA, with Christian Pulisic finally entering the scoring column.  How will we do in the World Cup once our tournament kicks off on the 12th? Well, there are 48 teams (assuming Iran is there) and it feels like one of two thing happens: we get grouped for the first time since '98, or we make it to the Round of 16 for the third time in the last four World Cups. I tried out the lottery for an Atlanta game and struck out, so yesterday was as World Cup as I'll get for in-person ($285/ticket for like Norway vs $39/ticket for USMNT right beforehand was a layup).  The U.S. has a travel-heavy schedule in group play, playing in LA, Seattle and LA. Real road warrior mentality being built. Glad the east coast gets worse kickoff times for a NA World Cup than a Qatar World Cup.
    • Well, that's the thing. Drafting players only for their physical measurables as you are suggesting only really happened during 2024, and X unfortunately has become the poster child for that. To be clear, it's not necessarily about drafting RAS over skill, but RAS over NFL-readiness and/or a solid body of work. Lots of players show skill in college, but those skills don't necessarily translate to the NFL for a multitude of reasons. But, getting back to the main point, to be clear, I believe that our FO is still enamored with physical gifts (who wouldn't be?), but now they're letting Dr. Eric Eager's proprietary system--his "secret sauce" prioritize the players that the Panthers draft, and it seems like it weighs not only a solid body of work, relative to a college career of course, but consistent gradual improvement as evidenced by production pretty highly.
    • Its a good article about how pathetically bad our past drafts ('23 and '24) have been. Building the team in '23 since we weren't ready yet and taking your qb in '24 made so much more sense in hindsight. Ladd McConkey over XL is pretty much a given but not sure it does as much to change Bryce's trajectory as the author suggests.  As bad as '23 and '24 drafts were, the '25 and '26 really give me hope.
