I'm not sure who he meant by his 26th pick to Cleveland

He said Ryan Shazier, who is a LB

But he put CB, so that could mean Bradley Roby

I don't think we draft Moses at 28 even though he may be our first pick

I have a feeling someone is going to trade for our first in order to get Jimmy Garoppolo before the second round starts

Think he reaches a bit for the Panthers, glad he is no longer here

I think we're exactly in Moses' range (most have him as a late 1 early 2).  So he wouldn't be a reach at all.  And I think he truly will be in the discussion for 28, along with Verrett/Fuller at CB, and several WR's.

Obviously, a lot will be determined by what we do in FA.  If we don't get at least a stopgap at LT, then the chances are that OT jumps way up on our team needs.  However, if the draft comes and we haven't picked up a FA and we don't go OT at 28, then I think we should steel ourselves for Bell as our starting LT.  Although I think WR will be their desired position, need may trump that playmaker they have talked about.

At 28, there will be no values at LT.  Moses, in my opinion is just a future RT.  Botonio is a possibility for LT because of his quickness, but don't think he starts his first season.

If we get Moses I hope it is in the second via a trade.

In that scenario I'd grab Benjamin or Cooks.

I'm not a huge Benjamin fan. I think he has potential, but he scares me (in a bad way) more so than any other WR. I'd prefer Cooks or OBJ if we go WR.

I've heard some analysts say that Moses looks more comfortable on the left side, but until this past year, played RT at Virginia.  So I think (hope) that he may be one of those guys that can be solid at either tackle spot.  And if we don't sign one in FA, he may be all that's standing between Bell starting at LT.

Now there are other guys that I have heard mixed things about.  Mewhort and Botonio are two guys that I've heard good things about, but some think both will be better suited at Guard, and Brandon Thomas is another guy I like, but he is probably only a RT.  So I guess we'll need to trust our talent evaluators to cut through the over analysis that we get from analysts..

I hear you - I like the idea of Benjamin more than what he has put on tape. He is very inconsistent in his effort and it's strange that he wasn't the #1 receiver on his team.

I'm liking OBJ the more of his tape that I watch. Would not at all be disappointed with him in the first.

If we would take Moses at 28, I don't see why we would trade down into the 2nd round to take him.

Hmmmmm

Generally, when you trade down, other teams give you picks to do so.  Why not get the same guy AND the extra pick?

That is the idea.

    • Completion percentage depends on the offense and type of QB.  So no I don't care about a raw comparison lol. If you don't know what I mean by that I don't know what to tell you. As to Baker, this is the second time you've ignored me and claimed I didn't say something when I did. I'm going to just stop r spending to that crap soon but on the possibility you are just missing these things in good faith - "Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories." Rushing yards by a QB DO matter. You'd think Panthers fans would know that.  Some of Bryce's best plays have come when he uses his legs too, and some of that IS yards on the ground. And the reality is that Tampa has had crazy injury issues and if you look at Bakers career he is unquestionably more successful than Bryce and above average at that. This year his top 3 WRs have all missed considerable time and whose best player on offense hasn't played almost all year...
    • Look at the chart. if you are claiming his numbers prove he not  an NFL caliber QB, than neither is Bo Nix, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Mahommes. They are all below average and within 2 points of Youngs' numbers.
    • Could be worse. Captain Clempsun is sub 60% completion
