So... It turns out you can't poo all over respected veterans and find comparable replacements after all...

Give 3 -5 detailed examples of pooing on veterans.  Take your time we have all off season.

You don't need 3-5 examples when the whole league knows who Smitty is and who he has been to our franchise.  They saw how he wasted years of talent while JR penny-pinched and then famously used a season as a sacrificial lamb to labor negotiations, how we wasted years between Jake up until we got Cam...  And he played through it.  Yet, we don't even give him a chance to walk out on his own terms?

Gross admitted to not liking Gettleman.  Smitty wanted to go out on his own terms and Gettleman didn't even offer him a restructure.  He shopped him, then released him like he was a nobody.  Players take note of those kind of things.

Cam's contract discussion:

"Cam: I really love it here. Please give me a contract in line with what the other young QB's of my generation are making."

"Gettleman: Ha son, are yah kidding me? Maybe you forgot who was in charge here. You think somebody is gonna pay you for your play? 1 year 5 mil. Go ahead. I dare yah ta see if somebody else wants you."

"ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys have signed Free Agent QB Cam Newton to a 7 year/100 million dollar deal."

Two things have been learned this week. Gettleman has been romantically with someone in Proudiddys family and he also doesn't have the slightest clue in the world on how the salary cap works.

So, did you give up on "breaking Panthers news"?  Could really use an inside source here to find out what the master plan is for your King Gettleman.

You need to work in the media cause you put a hell of a spin on things with your half quotes! You honestly believe the crap you are saying, don't you?

Yeah that is what I thought.

His plan looked so solid last year when he gave 1 year deals to Mitchell, Ginn, Florence, and Captain right? Looked real great when we cut Gamble and had no corners right? How about giving it more than 72 hours before you whine and moan about every little thing. He has been a GM for literally one year and went 12-4. But lets all refer to him as that ridiculous creative and absolutely hilarious nickname you came up for him. Gettledouche haahahahah

You are generally reasonable, but I think the situation is stressing you too much. Go get drunk and laid, you need it before you do something drastic

No way Cam walks.  It may be Hardy next year because Cam will get franchised if there is any chance of him walking.

i'm just used to this. 2007-2012 robbed me of expecting greatness.

we have no money. we supposedly couldn't let hardy go and had to commit all but a couple million of our cap and we just created a poo ton more dead cap space by letting smith go.

hurney was a short sighted f*ck up of a GM who left gettleman a royal cap mess.

last year he did well enough for me to have a little faith in him. right now i'm skating by on a waning amount of faith that gettleman can take this bunch of lemons he has (partly by his creation) and see if he can make some lemonade.

what we are seeing right now is just typical panthers stuff. we aren't a consistent winner because poo happens. you should be used to it now.

i'm just in wait and see mode at the moment. but as for the whining....go right ahead. i'm here to tell you that it doesn't do one bit of good.

given a choice between whining and hanging in there and just waiting and seeing what happens next week, i'm going to choose wait and see.

I can't do that man...  I get what you're saying, but that is why I "whine" and am outspoken about my disdain for what is going on...

If enough fans complain, they feel it.  It's happened before, and the pressure works it's way down through that front office.

And that is the very reason I get tired of the "getting used to it" mentality that permeates our fanbase.  We just accept that we are destined to be losers...  Like the Cubs' fanbase still acts, or the Red Sox before they finally won a World Series...  The Browns...  I'm not a fan of a loser, so I'm not accepting that.  That's why I get so fired up about it.  I can't stand seeing people accept that they're destined for failure in life, and I sure as hell won't tolerate it for something I'm supposed to enjoy and take pride in, like my football team.

    • Call me crazy but if you’re in the bottom 7 in efficiency using Zone 84% of the time why not try something else? You paid Jaycee top 5 CB money use him more effectively. Zone is only efficient if you can generate a good pass rush to force a QB into mistakes otherwise you will get picked apart
    • Good Lord this board has become a cesspool of negativity and where fandom becomes something twisted and unrecognizable.
    • Yeah, I could jump right into the unbelievable Bryce debate now that some people are trying to flip the script because Bryce Young has, at most, a handful of decent games as a pro, but that's going to work itself out. Suffice it to say that I've seen better QBs (with an s) in a Panthers uniform, and I've certainly seen better QBs be drafted while we're playing around with Bryce, one of them who beat the crap out of us already this season... Let's forget about Bryce (and his markedly underwhelming play since he's been here); I think that most sane fans will agree that drafting him was an error, but it happens. Sure, it doesn't happen to the tune of King's ransom---including your main receiver---but it happens. You bet, you lose. Speaking of receivers...and betting and losing... Oh, man, we drafted Xavier Legette. Yes, just like with Bryce, I've entered "the dark side." Some Huddlers were telling us from the beginning, and they were right. But, I'm not apologizing for waiting to see what a guy's got before making my decision on him. X was a one-year wonder at South Carolina who parlayed some really nice production that season, a great personality and thick country accent, into becoming a first round pick (but only in Carolina). For Dan Morgan and company, He was a big swing that has turned into a big whiff (and I can still feel the ill breeze from that one). Sh¡t happens, right? Well, not so fast. Ladd McConkey was the decidedly more polished receiver who was literally ready to hit the ground running as soon as stepping onto the field as a pro. Ladd was never the biggest guy (though not the smallest), but he was the guy that could run routes, always seemed to get open---no question---and had the same speed as X, but with legit quickness and nuanced shake and bake. But Dan chose the project. He chose the guy where the game speed looks more like a tractor trailer than a 5.0 mustang. Look, I've supported X (just like Bryce) many many a day, but no more. Now I'm not saying that I won't root for the guy. Just like with Bryce, he seems like a great kid. But as far as giving excuses for the kid, and, perhaps more importantly, waiting for some miraculous breakout, I'm done with that. I've seen enough. You don't draft a project for a project. And yes, Bryce had proven to be a project after his first season. In my mind, drafting a supposedly number one receiver that needs lots of development for a starting quarterback that needs immediate help to try and further his development is not going to lead to good things. Pick the surest guy. Or at least pick the one who appears to be the surest guy, because picking can be tricky... especially when you're too busy tricking yourself.
