Sounds like the agent did what amounts to a little double dealing.  One by handshake, which he probably parlayed into more money, and signing on the dotted line.  I wonder if Emmanuel Sanders was privy to any backstabbing.

Rafael Furcal's agent did this to the Braves a few years back and John Shuerholz publicly blasted him and refused to do business with any of that agent's clients ever again

Yea, that was fugin shady. I know nothing about Sanders as a guy but I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't know about it.
