Like the first two picks. I am a little worried Turner will be off the board at the end of the 2nd.

Coleman will def be off the board by the end of the 5th.

We can not afford to use the 3rd round pick on a DT.

Turner should be available at #28 in the 2nd.  You maybe right about Coleman, but I'm going to stay optimistic and believe he'll be there for us to take in the 5th.  As for taking a DT in the 3rd, I don't think we're going to resign Cole and plus, Edwards is getting up there in age.  Quarles is a beast and would make our scary d even scarier.

I like the draft.

Benjamin isn't my favorite receiver but he might be the best available at 28.

Turner would be a great pick in the second. Hope he's available.

Quarles is a very good prospect and would be worth a 3rd round pick. You know Gettleman is going to troll us all at some point in the draft, maybe this is it. He does love hog mollies.

I would not be surprised if we go defense with one of the first four picks but I would be if it was two of the first four. I see the logic in getting a backup for TD however. My preference would be to go WR or OL in the fourth (I'm a big Hurst fan) and grab the OLB a bit later - but I do think we pick up a backup for TD this year.

Latimer was supposedly given a third round grade so im not sure he's going to be there in the 7th, but a lot of sites are putting him in that range. He would be a great steal that late.

Can Wharton play OT

Is that even a good idea?

I maybe mistaking, but I recall Wharton playing tackle in years past.  Bell is the only experience guy we have, so I figured it maybe a good idea to put Wharton over at the right tackle position.  Wouldn't want a rookie starting a tackle, that smells like a recipe for disaster.

too many WRs imo.

fleming most likely will be gone by END of 4th round.

so long as we get a good WR and Turner in the 2nd I am all good.

I agree.  I still think trading our 1st round pick would be a good idea.  Very deep draft this year and we could use a few extra picks for positions we need and maybe one or two luxury picks.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
