What shotgun should I buy?

Any recommendation? I was thinking Remington 870 Express. I almost bought it last weekend but decided to consult huddle first.

Excellent choice. 12 or 20 ga?

But then I saw more tactical one and I'm not sure if it worth paying $100 more...

Great rating too.  I might pay more just so I can buy American... but then again.  I don't know if they make Remington in the USA.

From what I can tell, the 870 is still made in the US. Worth a call to Buds though.  I almost bought the H&R last year.

Well what are you going to use it for?

Bird hunting/shooting - That Remington is a damned fine shotgun.

Home Defense and general badassery - Mossburg 500 12ga w/ 20inch barrel and pistol grip

Home defense/shooting ranges/hunting/zombies

H&R is the exact same thing as the Remington.

Don't waste your money on the expensive "tactical" versions. The H&R is a solid gun. If you just want a US made gun or the big name, get a plain Remington 870 or Mossberg 500.

It's just a shotgun. Point, pull the trigger, blow poo up. You don't need an adjustable AK style stock, pistol grip, optical sight, breech tip, heat shield, etc.

mossberg 500 is very versatile.  you don't have to break the bank to get the base model, then over time, you can upgrade.  i saw lots of these in the military and they're very reliable.  just my opinion.  good luck with your search.

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
