Bobcats vs 76ers 4/2/2014

McRoberts is out tonight, Zeller is starting in his place. Really pumped for that. Even if the 76ers are god awful we need to keep in mind they are still an NBA team that has talent. Bad things happen when we act like we have a win before the game even starts.

Where can I watch this game online?

Our remaining schedule is pretty soft :

@ 76ers

vs Magic

@ Cavs

@ Wizards

@ Celtics

vs 76ers

@ Hawks

vs Bulls

I mean really! Look at that schedule! I would not be surprised to see us jump Washington (who still have to play Knicks, Bulls, Heat). And Chicago jumps Toronto. And we land the (4)Toronto/(6)Charlotte 1st Round match up.

Would be a lot better than what it was looking like a week and a half ago.... Heat were firmly sitting at the 2 seed and we were in 7th still.

I think we go 6-2 in our last 8. And end up with a 44-40 record.

Would mean a lot to end the Bobcats legacy on a winning note.

To play Toronto they would need to stay ahead of Chicago and Brooklyn. It's 3 vs. 6 not 4 vs. 6.

Wait, scratch that, 6v4? doh!  Toronto would have to keep winning for us to play them... if we got the 6 seed. If not it would be Chicago/Charlotte, Toronto/Brooklyn.

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
