Beer recommendation thread

I thought since we had a thread discussing the watered down piss that is bud light, we could discuss some good beers.

I'm into IPA's. I really like Firestone, Stone, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, and most local Californian IPA's.

What are you into? What do you recommend?

If we're talking West Coast beer that we actually have in NC, Ballast Point's Sculpin and Big Eye are good and I also like Green Flash's IPAs.  They are expensive here though.  Sculpin will run you close to $17 a six pack.  I'm a big fan of Terrapin (Athens GA) and Great Divide (Denver CO).  I just love good beer.  Too many to choose from.  I'm drinking Great Divide's Rumble right now.  It's an Oak aged IPA 7.1%.  Beer advocate is like my 2nd favorite site after the huddle.

I think the OP actually lives in California.

Hop Drop N Roll is the best west coast style IPA I've found here in NC. It's just as good, if not better, than anything you'll find from the west coast.

I agree on Great Divide. They make some remarkable stuff.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
