19. Carolina Panthers Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State The Panthers have two highly paid guards in Damien Lewis and Robert Hunt, but they will be entering their age-29 and age-30 seasons, respectively. So there's a future need there, plus an immediate need at center. Ioane played left guard, center and right guard in college and has the power to be an effective run blocker at any position. Ioane sought to play with better movement and conditioning in 2025, and his stock soared because of it. The Panthers could rebuild their offensive line around him and left tackle Ikem Ekwonu. 51. Carolina Panthers D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana If you want to see the pound-for-pound toughest player in this draft class, turn on Ponds' tape. A slot cornerback with elite ability to blitz off the edge or lock up slot receivers, Ponds is a playmaker who routinely shows up in the biggest moments. 83. Carolina Panthers Zakee Wheatley, S, Penn State Tre'von Moehrig is Carolina's enforcer in the box, but there's a need for a back-end safety. Wheatley's range at 6-foot-3 and 202 pounds gives him the versatility that would fit in the Panthers' defense. 119. Carolina Panthers: Le'Veon Moss, RB, Texas A&M 158. Carolina Panthers (from MIN): Domani Jackson, CB, Alabama 159. Carolina Panthers: George Gumbs Jr., Edge, Florida 200. Carolina Panthers: Dillon Bell, WR, Georgia

What's Your Draft Day Shock Move by Carolina?

His tape isn't that good, ups and downs. He's just like anyone drafted outside the top 5 or so, he needs coaching and reps. Yes the Neals, bectons, have hurt giant stocks, but I feel Proctor going to break that. He only allowed one sack in the SEC and that was in a so-so year. He's got ELITE feet and great hands, that's rare. There's 0.0 chance he's lasting to 19, he's just too much of a player. If not for a couple players combine, he would have the best one. I feel it was top 5 after styles, Thin, etc.. I wish they let the guy do his 850 squat and 550 bench, but thats unfair... like people forgot he had a 32.5” standing vertical at the NFL combine. For a giant that's insane, nothing like Neal or brecton.

It all depends on what damage was found and how well the surgery takes. I think trust is going to be a huge factor. As someone who's had multiple knee injuries, it takes a while to feel safe doing everything without that splinter of doubt in the back of your mind again. I can't imagine what that would feel like for a NFL players.

Advanced about 15 years I reckon.

In theory sure, but just keep the pick and go all in (again) in 27. Thats assuming this kid is going in the 3rd or 4rth -
Best I know nothing has changed for the surgery part, but the recovery has been reduced. Plus you need to see all the damage in the knee, many times you don't know until you look.. Then the surgery just lasts longer and rehab is longer too.

If Rueben Bain falls past the Cheifs at 9 I think Morgan tries to trade up. Morgan was gushing over him in this podcast about a month ago, and said he would not be there at #19. Go to 13:48 to see what I’m talking about.

Is tackle out the window at 19?
SmokinwithWilly replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not an NFL scout obviously, but to me, his side to side footwork looks clunky. Instead of the quick, short step, almost glide like movement that you see from the true elites like Ogdon, it looks like he plants and anchors as he moves with each step. He can be heavy footed. He has the size and mass to do that and it might work for him against bull rushers, but the quick edge guys I think will present a problem. Watch game videos of Proctor vs guys like Ogdon, Joe Thomas, Tyron Smith, or Trent Williams, and just watch from the knees down. It's pretty interesting the difference in the way they move their feet. I'm not saying he won't be able to improve it, I just think that could be part of what gives some of that doubt. It does to me. -
Jmac started following ACL repair and recovery
-
How far has ACL repair and recovery advanced since Thomas Davis had the injuries? I recall hearing that he would probably never play at a high level again. Not everyone is T.D. He proved them all wrong. I'm sure with new surgical advancements the repair would be miles of what it used to be. If Brooks is used right and fully recovered, could he possibly have a successful comeback after two tears to the same knee? Anyone with medical knowledge on this topic know if thats even possible? Canales said he should be ready for training camp. Ready for camp and playing at a high level are two different animals. .
-
I'd hate to see it if you WERE a lover. LOL Proctor looks like Temu Mekhi Becton to me. Becton was a significantly better mover at the college level than Proctor and he busted hard as an NFL OT and has still even been terrible at OG because he still gets exposed in space even on the inside. There's a reason why most NFL OL are significantly smaller than these guys. The Jonathan Ogdens of the world are absolute unicorns.
