  1. Past hour
  2. Now now. These are 3rd rounders we're talking about. We wouldn't waste those on anything less than a long snapper.
  3. Damn dude, that's brutal. Hope you feel better soon. Yea, these games are all tough to watch with the opt outs. Also makes gambling on them nearly impossible.
  4. The one thing they can point to is a lot of 1st round draft picks at QB. So, ultimately that does hold a lot of weight, although actual NFL success rates are pretty low at the position for both of those schools. I am curious to see if Alabama improves with their new HC.
  5. I've had the flu since the day after Christmas so I've watched the hell out of some shitty bowl games.
  6. These white jerseys look cool with all that shitty paint splattered on them
  7. I've now had to watch Rice and Navy run the option offense today since work was slow. I would've rather been working.
  8. That’s fair. He needs some guys to succeed at the next level to help with recruiting no doubt. It doesn’t seem to slow down OSU or Bama though.
  9. But he loves Little Debbie oatmeal snack cakes, and promises he is not going to be the coach at Alabama.
  10. Well it also says they're interviewing Antonio Pierce (lol) so at this point I don't view this as anything more than top to bottom due diligence. As far as Evero and Carolina goes. Change of scenery for both parties is inevitable.
  11. I hate it but yeah it's still highly likely unfortunately.
  12. I think that would be fine for him if he was still at FAU but being at elite schools you expect(especially in the modern day) that part of the draw of elite programs is NFL preparation. That's where he fails fairly consistently. Especially when you compare him to someone like Lincoln Riley who has a long track record of producing NFL QB's.
  13. Doesn't coaches normally get hired in January? And the new year starts officially in march? So could net compensatory picks depending on what his current and new contracts says about contract lenght and the wording of the NFL rules.
  14. He is a college QB tutor. As you stated he has produced much in the NFL.
  15. So you are saying he will probably make a good coach when he is out of the league.
  16. The difference is Kiffin's rep as a "QB tutor" which has not been very successful at the NFL level. Also, the limitations I stated do have a stunting impact. If I were advising an elite QB with a potential professional future, I'd definitely steer clear of Lane Kiffin offenses. There are ample coaches/programs that have a pretty good track record for sending quality QB's to the NFL.
  17. I think it is obvious at this point that even with support, which he definitely has at this point, he will never get going. Dude is who he is. If Bryce was just consistently average this is a 10+ win team and easily in the playoffs. But at this point he is just below average and that is never going to change.

  20. I think damn near every coach has a bad record for producing QBs because so few QBs are successful. Drake Maye looks legit, how was UNC before with Mack Brown? Howell hasn’t done anything, I don’t know if he was responsible for Mitch or if he came afterwards but that was a bust. Air Raid Texas Tech produced Mahomes and not much else. Allen was out in Wyoming, Burrow is the only LSU one and he was coach O, Lamar was Louisville with no one else. Riley might be the only coach with a defect track record with Hurts, Murray, Baker, and now Caleb. It’s why you draft the player not the school/coach.
  21. I know it's conspiracy theory but part of this has always felt by design as part of the entertainment aspect of the NFL since the team was forced to be sold. Enter Tepper as the narcissist, impulsive hedge fund owner relying on analytics over an ownership group. His impulsive actions on full display the first 5 years burning through multiple QBs, 4 HCs, 2 GMs. Everything trying to find the newest shortcut to success. Houston needed a new image quickly after the Watson debacle, and Carolina has an owner willing to ignore football guys and go with his analytics. Here comes the S2, along with tons of media coverage that the Holy Grail for finding QBs has been found and Bryce with a damn near perfect score. Then Bryce goes 1st overall, has one of, if not the worst rookie QB seasons ever, and the S2 all but disappears from being mentioned again. It’s all just a bit too convenient for my liking.
  22. When you draft a qb with a first round pick, you should always follow that up by firing the head coach that drafted him, and hiring a middle of the road dc who has never been a hc before. LOL.
  23. Reminder that the Bucs are 1-7 in their last 8 games.
