I wake up every morning thinking this statement is just a myth. Getting out of bed proves me wrong every single time.

btw, 30 years ago today, we played our first preseason game. It was the Hall of Fame Game, and we played the expansion Jaguars. Frank Reich was our QB, and theirs was Mark Brunell, and he got hot, scared me. I really wanted us to win our first game of any kind, but also for expansion bragging rights. We won.

New York shooter was looking for NFL offices
Luciu5 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah it would be, but the shooter was saying he DOES have CTE. Obviously unproven, because it can only be diagnosed post death. But yeah he wasn't arguing that he doesn't have CTE, quite the opposite. -

I dont think they are allowed by the NFL.

Yeah, shooting up a building is not the best way to argue that you don't have CTE. Jesus. -
I thought there were very effective treaments for ADHD. I wonder what is up with that.

Agreed The combine certainly has its place, but If you overvalue it you wind up drafting Mike Mamula. Game tape...

Same source; again, not a great place to find actual news, but I gotta give em credit for their graphics game

He didn't even do the 3 cone. He had a terrible shuttle time. Like middle of the road for a DE type of shuttle time. I think he basically put all his eggs in the 40 basket and just flat out choked. The speed and quickness shows up on the field and honestly that's all I care about.

Starting with a sh-tty source, but apparently a legitimate story; was able to track down the actual source (Rich Cimini) to confirm Insert joke here

I'm all for intensity but guys need to can it. It was a routine hit and he didn't hit him hard enough to hurt him, just hard enough to knock him on his arse. Chuba bounced up quick enough to start fighting which meant he was in no way hurt or injured. We are going to be a physical football team and we are going to have to be able to have some physicality in practice. That not playing/practicing hard and not getting reps in preseason was what had us looking so inept the first of the season last year!
-
Yikes As an aside, I have a feeling the internet (possibly sports radio as well) is going to see a lot of jokes told in very poor taste sometime soon

Division rival. I'll NEVER root for any of them under any circumstances.
-
Yeah, just saw that.

For those thinking Renfrow isn't making the team...Ha!
NorthTryon replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly, insert nice things and not being able to have them quote here. -
I cannot stand them. They are winning the division repeatedly now only because we are failing to put a decent product on the field. As we slowly become relevant again, this division is wide open. Baker Mayfield does not deserve to be handed a division trophy every year due solely to the ineptitude of the other teams in the division. I also hate that Lavonte David gets to play a seemingly twenty year career and we only got a blink of an eye with Luke.

that's one thing Clemson football has going for it from a fan perspective. It's about as close as you can find to the old way of things. So you pretty much can follow a kid for 4 years/develop and root for them vs just tuning in for this year's rentals that probably come from "rivals" or wherever. Clemson doesn't need to join the SEC. That kills the SC rivalry. Which is basically built in joy even when your team sucks because of tradition. Money killing tradition/rivalry is the death of college football.
-
Is it that or are their fans less offensive?
-
Honestly, my interest in college sports has waned tremendously in recent years. Hard to keep up with it when you don't recognize the names of 80% of the roster because of the constant transfers. I mean, we have a kid suiting up for the basketball team this year who is like 24 and has been playing pro ball in Europe for several years. And we're not the only ones with that type of player. WTF is that??? They're really gonna have to figure out something going forward or they're going to kill the golden goose.
-
Probably about time to start a new CFB thread…

money is ruining college sports. and it won't stop until college sports isn't worth watching. I don't care about UNC football but UNC basketball, Duke and all that......it's sad to see that die.
-
Sounds like UNC is heading to the SEC. This has been whispered about for years but never this loudly and widespread. I mean, you have Paul Finnebaum the guy known as the "Voice of the SEC" saying it's gonna happen now.
