Have got a lot of Hope for 2025 good read on camp!!

He isn't gonna break out. This is why taking an older, project player is goofy. -

JR, Hurney/Gettleman and Rivera really failed Cam with slightly-to-below average talent at the Tackle spots after Gross,Wharton and Oher left. Our Guards/Center were fine but we never seemed to have a premium starting 5 in front of him during his time here. Same with WR’s. We always seemed to give preference to the D when it came to adding talent. -

If he's gonna break out, he better do it quick. He'll be 27 this fall. -

Yeah, I think in Wright they basically see a Pinero replacement. Accurate, limited leg kicker but instead of a guy in Pinero who thinks he should be one of the highest paid kickers in the league you have a guy in Wright who would be absolutely thrilled just to have a job. Then you have Fitzgerald who they're hoping wins the job and is the long term solution. We'll see how it all plays out. Fitzgerald is Plan A and Wright is Plan B and I think everyone involved fully realizes this. -

I think he was an Evero type player. I suspect he was a guy that Evero asked for early on and is still one of "his" guys. Another in a long list of reasons why Evero will eventually have to be canned. -

TJ Watt put the final nail in the coffin while Cam was in the pocket, not running. It's easier to protect yourself if you know the hit is coming. I will always wonder how many Lombardis we would have now if we had given Cam some actual talent on offense. -

Yeah, it's a complete question mark. A lot of potential but a lot of unknown as well. I didn't mind the T-Mac pick and it's comforting after the fact that it sure seems like he was the consensus WR1 in the draft but top 10 pick consensus best at their position prospects bust almost every year. Until they hit the NFL field they're still unknowns. -

IMO we need to see Ickys year 4 and make a decision before handing out an ext for him. And I okay now with the tmac pick as it is going to help make a decision on BY one way or another but damn I would have been really happy drafting that beast membou which sounds like would have been in cards if he was there. Which in turns gives me a little more hope for morgan. -

Not sure why I keep hearing how good this receiving group is. They have potential. Yes. Reality of what we're counting on - 2 rookie draft picks at WR - one was a 6th rounder, another 2 rookie UDFAs at WR, 2 second year WRs - one with suspect hands and the other with suspect speed, 2 thirty years olds WRs - one closer to forty and the other hasn't played in 2 years, a rookie TE and another second year TE. That's not exactly a group I'd hang my hat on. Not yet anyways. -

yep it hinders or alters your offense when you cross the 50 yard line and knowing you have to get 20ish more yards at least to put you in FG range. I suspect you call plays a bit differently as well. -

Wasn't that Brady's kryptonite too? Middle pressure doesn't allow any QB to step up to avoid speed rushers, or allow them to step into their throws. Not just a small QB issue. -

And ... if we weren't taking the full hit on Motonthis season instead of extending him again, Our money and KC's would be about the same. Moton is off the books next year (other than some chump change void money) just in time for Ickey's 5th year option, $17.6 ish, to hit. Assuming we don't extend Ickey before then. Also... depending on how his knee health plays out this season, I wouldn't mind finding a creative way to keep Moton around. He's been a frikin stud his whole career. -

I suspect that's likely Wright's issue as well and why he's never stuck on a team and bounced around. Probably a good kicker, just limited leg. The guy has made 87% of his FG attempts and has only missed two XPs ever. But if you aren't good from close to 60 they're looking for your replacement. -

Quickie was a great player for us. Sucks his next injury happened on a meaningless last game two years ago.

I think the rub is being a dumpster fire team. Same issue the NYG have being on that list. -

I don’t think we did Cam any favors with the oline we put in front of him. DT at tackle etc…Him getting drilled in the pocket ala Denver, Atlanta etc shortened his career more than him running. We had the mentality that an average at best oline and one good receiving option was good enough cause we had “Superman”. I’m glad that this administration sees it differently -

I found it interesting that Evero would mention DJ Johnson and fail to mention the rookies. Not that means anything about the rookies, but I can only think of Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy--both became relevant in year 3. I think he gets cut, but mentioning a player in that manner with 1/2 sack and 25 tackles in 2 years is a bit strange. -

His leg is too weak and its a liability for the offense. Not even having the option to kick a 50ish yard FG throttles down the offense. -

2025 Panthers Draft Class - Overview
mrcompletely11 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I truly wonder what the massive offer Morgan made was. Because 18 spots is a ton. I can assume the rams offered next years first but this years draft was light with their picks so that probably tipped the scale. But man having multiple firsts is a fun fantasy to have in this rebuild. But I bet we will never know -

Wonder why they have not resigned Pinero and added him to the PK competition. Not saying he should have the job but only having a rookie and another dude that has been on several teams does not seem like a fantastic plan.
