  3. poo has gone insane. NCAAF is badly broken.
  4. he's eligible to return next week. canales going to put him right back into the starting lineup https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1982531852922675205
  5. Today
  6. I mean, that sounds good. I will say that I kind of cringe when people say we overpaid for for an O-line because if you want the best players, or even quality players on the O-line, you're going to have to pay. They were proven players, one arguably the best at his position in football, so you're going to back up the Brinks truck. I don't see it as overpaying as much as I see it shifting your priorities in light of your situation and market conditions. Now with an RB, those generally are easier to get and easier to replace, especially if you have a good O-line. We could've let Chuba walk and still kept rolling a lot easier than continuing to roll the dice on backups starting on the O-line. I can't even remember who was available, but I'd bet that there was someone available who could replace Chuba's production. That being said, we've been told in this thread that Chuba's contract was structured in a way that facilitates minimal pain if we decide to move on from him. If that's so, then it was smart and someone in the FO had a little foresight (and probably understands the PR side of things, as well as the pure numbers side).
  7. Love the picture. The season was was declared terminal in 2023 afaic. But we have gotten some good evaluation of some young players.
  8. The fear is that they see it, and have seen it but are overruled. I think they should have seen it like, off the bat.
  9. It is sad that you have to clarify it is sarcasm.
  10. I mean special in terms of some of the physical feats. Everyone knew he needed refinement when he was drafted and he struggled with accuracy. But if you can harness that physical ability? He is capable of things physically that 99% of the population, including other QBs, could only have wet dreams about.
  11. this was literally Dalton by the 2nd Q
  12. That looks better than I expected.
  13. That’s a problem on top of a problem and yes I was also saying something that had that excuse word in it because of this situation. It’s real.
  14. Yeah Richardson is horrible, that’s when he’s not on IR
  15. At least he was so spectacularly bad that they immediately dispelled any delusions he’d be the answer.
  16. Now are you sure we just don’t have enough talent around him? (Sarcasm)
  17. It is just like if we brought a QB in and he made Bryce look like he should be demoted.
  18. There are ways to deal with the contract and some team in need may not be able to be picky. He hasn’t looked that good this year but he has produced in the past, pretty consistently. After today I wonder if we could trade him for a guard with a similar contract or something.
  19. Christensen, Hunt, Zavala out for the year. Mays told a reporter in the locker room he was fine, just tweaked his ankle. Moton is a wait and see but there is Nijman who isn’t as bad this season. So looking like LT-Ekwonu LG- Lewis C- Mays RG- Corbett RT- Moton? Back-Ups Samac (C), Curhan (G) Nijman (T) and they will probably bring up Brandon Walton (T) from the ps again. Or Saadiq Charles (G) who has been in the NFL a while.
  20. We paid chuba because he was the catalyst for the offense once bryce came back from the benching. He needs a run game to succeed and chuba was the guy last year like Rico is this year to help. It was all about stability. No different then us overpaying for a o line to help bryce. All these moves didnt sound dumb a first but after time goes by they start getting put under a microscope.
  21. We have a backup starting already and it's not Dalton. What we don't have is a future starter. Forgot a franchise qb I would settle for a really good starter for the time being.
  22. That’s what I was getting at. If they are going to have a real back-up QB it’s going to have to be somebody that can drive competition, which has ultimately been a cardinal sin here since Bryce was drafted.
