  2. I didn't say I thought throwing it was a bad decision, I said I thought not running those 3-5 yard routes to pick up the 1st down wasn't a great call. Yes the play worked out, but I didn't love the play call, it's like when a bad shooter is taking a 3 and you're yelling "no no no" as they're going up and then they make it so it worked out. That's still gambling on them to make the play and I take no issue with that. But I just went and watched the play again, we had T-Mac and XL running downfield crossing routes, Coker went in motion behind the LOS and then moved up a yard or two after the snap but not even past the LOS, Sanders chipped the DE and then ran a drag route right long the LOS. The play worked out, but I don't really like that particular play call and route tree with the game on the line on a 4th and 2. If you want to send one route downfield as an option that's fine, but there were only 2 realistic target options with that route tree and they were both 15-20 yards downfield.
  3. If BY comes back, they 100% need to bring in legit competition. Heres what as you are alluding too. This team can either sign Icky&Mays or BY, I do not see both without cuts/trades/etc. My vote is for Icky&Mays, draft a QB....
  4. JB shouldn’t even be a thought IMO. Bonus if he ever matters for us.
  5. We already have Hunt coming back. We have a firm left side, some decent depth pieces and good to potentially very good OL coaching. We need a true, full time center and possibly a replacement right tackle but maybe Moton returns to form or one of our backups earns the job. So basically... yeah I think we do.
  6. We’re gonna love having a fresh Rico Dowdle coming off the bench when the games really matter against the Bucs. Hubbard got healthy at just the right time when Dowdle started wearing down. Having two backs who can carry the load is a necessity in a 17 game NFL season.
  7. As for all the people hyping up Dowdle and downplaying Chuba for the hundreth time, the likelihood of Chuba getting chopped in favor of Dowdle is not very high. There is probably even less of a likelihood that he's our RB1 once a healthy JB enters the equation. That's just the way it is.
  8. I'm so thrilled for this win! Proud of Canales for staying aggressive, proud of Bryce for some clutch throws on third and fourth down, proud of Coker for making big catches, proud of Chuba for stepping up big, proud of Mike Jack for a pick-six, proud of T-Mac for making his one catch count, proud of Brown for being a legend on defense yet again, proud of the whole team.
  9. Well when other men are out there defending you for punching another man in the ballbag, that dude SUCKS. Shouldn’t have been suspended I take back saying it was a bad decision. Now I gotta know what Jennings was saying to get punched in the sack. Even Pat Surtain said this was justified. Should have never been suspended!
  10. Rico really regretting that tweet and calling out Dave. Dave went from forced to acknowledge Rico was better and go with a lead RB…. to 100% committed to a 50/50 split after calling out the whack 49er gameplan
  11. This is kind of why I keep warning some of our more "special" Huddlers when they pine after guys like Hendon Hooker and Mike White. It is actually possible to be worse than Bryce Young, believe it or not.
  12. I didn't think he'd make it through this season. One point someone else made though was that his year two was better than his year one, and his year three was even better than year two. So what happens in year four? I don't think it's likely, but right now I can't really deny it's possible.
  13. I approve of that message, but do we have the capital---draft and real---to make an impact? Intellectually, I think this may be true, but I have a difficult time believing that this is in the realm of reality, especially the 1a part of the equation. I know that it seems like we've been down this road before, but the remaining regular season games may just tell the story about how serious the need is for a QB. And even with that, I hope that this FO hasn't already made up its mind that we have our short or long term answer at the position. Moreover, keep in mind that Bryce is actually playing for something more than moral victories this time.
  14. Okay, I am off wanting anything to do with Mariota after that pass. Wow.
  15. We pass more than the majority of NFL teams. Only 12 NFL teams have more pass attempts. but since Bryce is the QB, it’s the 27th ranked pass attack we technically are a pass team. Just bad at it
  16. If im not mistaken Moore is used primarily on special teams. I'm thinking that is where he will stay.
  17. My line up to now has been that I want to see Canales with a new quarterback. That may still happen, but I'm betting heavily against it happening in 2026.
  18. Bryce had a couple good plays, but he still was god awful at times. His play before the half lost us a field goal. Then when we got called with a bullshit hold he takes a sack the next play to again take us out of field goal position.
  19. Just my thoughts but David Moore can stay on the bench. Roll with TMAC, Legette and Coker. I personally would take Coker over Moore. I think Coker is a lot like Chuba this year. Took a while coming off of injury to get his stride back.

  21. Because the Rams were expecting us to run it those 3 or 4 yards. Thats why we passed in that situation. It was a huge gamble and luckily Young hit his receivers in stride for TD's. Great play by Young and great catches by McMillan and Coker. Its called gambling on your qb to make a play. I think its brilliant if it works.
  22. I do not think it's at all possible for him to play well enough to earn that contract this offseason. He could play lights out the rest of the season and we win the division and I still don't think he'd have earned it. That would have earned the 5th year being picked up no question (something I don't think he's earned as of now), but not a big extension. He's 2.5 years into his career and still only has a handful of good to great games, even a real strong finish to this season where he's been very up and down until now, isn't worthy of a $40+ million contract. Actually play lights out the rest of the year and I admit he earned the 5th year being picked up, but short of him being the reason for an actual SB run this year, there's nothing he can do to make me say he's earned an extension. He'd need to prove it for a full season next year to say he's earned that.
  23. Next guess our record when we open as the favorite the last 6 years?
  24. Why not make a duel winning thread. It happened today!
