  2. Panther fans: Why are there not any changes to college scouting? Panthers fire Director of College Scouting Panther fans:
  3. Spencer was hired as Director of College Scouting under Fitterer and has run that department ever since. I thought it was kind of a head scratcher at the time because there seemed to be better people available. Can't say I'm sorry he's gone. There have been a few changes made now, which makes sense. We might be seeing a rework of the scouting department under Morgan and Tilis.
  4. I have center 1 as one of my pre-season battles to watch. Corbett is not guaranteed the job. It's a lot more relevant than WR6 or secondary depth (I still think that we're not done here. I expect a S and CB to be added before week 1).
  5. Even though Morrow ended up with 10 minutes, he basically played 4 d most of the game Walker finished with nine minutes after leaving the game 2 minutes into the second..... Morrow played 5 minutes in the last ten minutes of the third..... WHY WOULD YOU PLAY A GUY ONLY TO BE SO SCARED YOU LEAVE HIM ON THE BENCH EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE DOWN A RIGHT HANDED DEFENSIVE SHOT..... WE PLAYED 4 D BASICALLY HALF THE GAME
  6. I don't know if the order of operations fits, but I'm glad Mays has shown he can play in this league. We missed out on the top guys, but we may have made out alright regardless. Even if Mays is just a bridge, its encouraging to see his improvement since being drafted. As a rookie I wasn't sure that he was going to stick.
  7. I love rod but he getting out coached in every way possible. Also, Burns lead all defenders with 28 minutes of ice time? Why not Slavin?
  8. Most definitely not Juan has certainly done his share of those, but this isn't one of them.
  9. Yeah that worked sooooo well, yep lets lose a far better defender and size matchup for.... 2 extra face offs.... and then proceed to lose 10% more face offs than game 1
  10. That was purely a faceoff circle decision I think
  11. Yea brilliant NO PRACTICE TODAY AFTER THAT DISASTER
  12. What does that have to do with anything I said?
  13. You are ignoring the fact this isn't the first time its the THIRD TIME this has happened.
  14. flip side of that coin, I wouldn't say Bryce looked better than Nix either though
  15. Everybody wants one guy to blame. But the truth is our players got punched in the mouth, and they are playing completely intimidated. If you think playing musical chairs with head coach is the solution to that problem, I don't know what to tell you. They don't have confidence in themselves, because Florida is schooling them on the ice and beating the crap out of them while they do it. We have one of the most well run organizations in the NHL and you guys are ready to burn the building down because we ran into a buzz saw that goes on to win the SC. And to top it all off, SC wasn't supposed to even be in the cards for expectations this year. If we lost in Game 7 last series, nobody would be talking like this. But because we're getting swept in the ECF now it's time to fire Rod. Maybe the team does need a fresh voice, but tantrum throwing over exceeding this season's expectations is pretty ridiculous.
  16. Today
  17. so we can finally put to bed "In Rod we trust" - just can't fathom how a team that lost badly the first game on home ice comes out and quits on the coach
  18. I think he vast majority of us fans are very excited about Bryce's play down the stretch. I also think that the biggest question, based on the small sample size, is whether he can replicate it or, better yet, continue his upward trajectory. I sure as hell hope so, and honestly, believe he will. If so, sky's the limit for this young man!

  20. As a former Bryce Stan, it's pretty wild to see the pro and anti Bryce camps being so illogical. He looked far improved in the second half of the season but he also looked like a lower Tier starter in a lot of ways. This is, as was previously stated, sort of the put up or shut up year for Bryce. If he doesn't really start looking like a franchise QB, it's probably time to pivot in 2026. I don't mean if he is a bust, I mean if he is still just this game manager-esque, 200 yd passing guy that occasionally flashes big plays and big throws. Franchise QB's are usually undeniable in terms of talent very early on. Bryce's talent was supposed to be his brain and ability to process at a high level. If that doesn't head toward Brees-esque results.....oh wee mayne.
  21. "Purdy may be a product of the system and surrounding talent, but he’s still led one of the NFL’s most efficient offenses over the past three seasons." Kinda hard to argue with this justification, even though I would NEVER pick him over Bryce.
  22. They were the worst receiving group in the NFL last season after Diontae lost his mind. We're putting a lot of faith in 2 second year players developing, 2 rookies (1 being a 6th rounder), a 30 years old that hasn't played in years, and a bunch of UDFA. Hopefully Dan and Brad can work their magic.
  23. So 2024 draftees count if they're ahead of him, but not if they're below? Probably better to just compare him with QBs with equal or less NFL experience? There are only 3 other first or second year QBs ahead of him. So he's 4 of 11, and on the rise. We'll see if Jayden and Bo can hold their spots. Either way, all of them had better receivers than Carolina. Hopefully your boy TMac can help in that department. Watching the games, CJ and Bo didn't look better than Bryce the last 8 games to me. Now Jayden was friggin lights out. That kid can spin it.
  24. I don't really get all the people saying the Bears decisively won the trade. They had the bottom ranked offense last year when supposedly Caleb Williams was being drafted to the "ideal situation". None of their draft picks are massively contributing. We both missed the playoffs. Looks like a wash so far to me.
