  1. Past hour
  2. I mean short arms kept those idiots from drafting Slater…you’d think what they thought would be irrelevant ha. I agree let the guy go for it
  3. Yeah the combo of his fat ass and the horrible personnel decisions pushed Seifert out of his comfy place as our worst coach. Then Reich showed up with an epic level of Idgaf…
  4. Brock Purdy contract details: 49ers quarterback signs $265 million extension to become one of NFL's highest-paid QBs You cannot pay good QBs like elite franchise QBs. It's an absolute cap anchor. Hopefully they have a year, maybe two left in their current window because when they have to start making tough decisions to accommodate Purdy's cap hit they're cooked.
  5. I just try not to have homer takes. Fair is fair IMO. I'm all for the division winners getting automatic bid. That reserves the integrity of honoring division winners. But automatically hosting a playoff game against a team with a better record? Nah. Too much IMO. Giving them an automatic bid over a team with a better record is already plenty.
  6. I think Tremble is best as H-back/Fullback. Give that man some screen passes and short yardage carries ha
  7. I think it's important to take into account the POV of someone here being skeptical of this change has as much to do with the fact that we are fans of a franchise that hasn't had a winning season or been to the playoffs since 2017. And our division has weakened substantially in those years since. This could basically make divisions largely irrelevant. It's also important to consider the bulk of the owners wouldn't push something like this through for the direct benefit of bottom feeder teams like ours. Again though. If this actually does pass I'll wait and see how it goes. Nothing I can do anyways.
  8. Bears won because its a trade we didn't need to make, at least with the pieces we sent. If Fitts had half a brain, he would have completed the Burns trade and use the 2 Rams 1sts to swap 1sts and we would still have had the overall 1st to trade or swap out for picks.
  9. Where was that comparison made? The comparison was to the mindset of fighting against change simply because you hate change. LOL Let's get rid of those damn independent neurologists while we're at it. Damned change and all that...
  10. Yep. My son is almost 6'4", and 220 is a good size. 240+ is suspect for most.
  11. So just ignore that and take on the fact that we'd still be watching football in leather helmets with no forward pass if the "let's just fight any and all change on the basis that we hate change" folks always get their way. It was a joke to point out the absurdity of the logic of the argument of fighting against change because you hate change.
  12. Or maybe we could avoid potentially trivializing 400 years of barbarism and atrocities and just talk football.
  13. I see this from multiple angles. On the one hand teams like the Patriots made deep playoff runs consistently because they're division was largely putrid at best and they basically had a guaranteed postseason spot every year. There are still teams that accomplish this. But I don't see this helping us at least not in the short term. It will however make the Buccaneers path to the playoffs more complicated. And to that I say splendid.
  14. It was a joke making fun of people who just bitch and moan about change for the sake of just never wanting any change. You know, kinda like you're doing in this thread. LOL
  15. You're potentially punished for being a good team in a good division though. What if your whole division is between 9-8 and 7-10 and everyone splits. Now you have to go on the road because another team finished second in their division at 10-7 but played 2 dog poo teams 4 times and won all 4 games.
  16. Wait until this thread comes up next year for the 2022 class (Ekwonu, Barno, and Mays the only ones still on the team).
  17. Slavery was WRONG on so many levels, how that comparison works who knows Weather ur team that is still in the playoffs gets a home game is no where near that lvl
  18. Against it. I get that some teams have an advantage because they are in a bad division but some teams have an advantage because they end up with a really weak strength of schedule (or end up facing teams w/ injured players or resting players for the playoffs). Let's face it, NFL teams fluctuate a lot from year to year and we won't know the strength of the schedule played until the end of the season. Why should second place in the NFC East trump first place in the NFC South if the East team had an overall easier schedule?
  19. I find it funny how people get triggered by literally any change. I guess y'all wanna watch football played in leather helmets where the forward pass is illegal and the goalposts is in the middle of the end zone clotheslining players. Not all change is necessarily good but crying about the best bad team in a trash division not automatically hosting a playoff game is a pretty hilarious thing to raise hell about.
  20. I guess with this type of mindset we'd still have slavery. LOL Realistically, there's been a pretty solid poo storm every year a losing team hosts a playoff game because it's bullshit. Give 'em an automatic bid, but yeah reward the actual better teams.
  21. I'm not sure I see how re-seeding after the first round is necessary, but I'm all for doing seedings based purely off record. Of course, that does very little to address the issue of strength of schedule. Plenty of teams end up with more wins than they otherwise would because they don't play as many good teams.
  22. Today
  23. Somebody should have walked up there and snatched that 51 pin off him
  24. It's been like that forever and no one has cared. There's nothing wrong qith the playoff system, no need to change things
  25. Leave it alone there's nothing wrong with it.
