After the first 3 beat downs I just wanted a win. Canes did that. Anything else is a bonus. The Panthers have killer instincts like everyone else in the playoffs, they played to win and got beat, period.
-
I assume you were drunk posting yesterday, so I will give you time to read through that entire arc so you can remember.

This series is way too big for him right now but he's still only 22. He has no business being on the ice anymore this year, but I think bum is a bit much for a 22 year old prospect. Stankoven isn't really the norm.
-
Yeah, the NFC South is basically at a laughingstock level post-Brady/Brees.
-
So answer these two questions. Did most media outlets have us ranked in the mid 20s prior to 2015 season? Did we go out and sign aging players anyway? That's the only comparison I made, you came up with the rest on your own
-
Yeah, we're going to need to get more than 1 past Bob to win Game 5. But I liked the increased pressure yesterday. Who knows, maybe this win dislodged the horseshoe thats firmly implanted in Bob's ass. I'm just proud of the guys, to be honest. Every single one of them put their body on the line last night. Many of them made huge defensive plays by blocking shots or clearing the zone. Hell, Slavin had 30 minutes of ice time. I hope the passion and confidence carries over to Game 5.
-
Well let's also not act like Bob isn't Bob. We scored 1 goal because he is on top of everything. I still gotta believe in game 5 in Raleigh.

And why did we offer him the most money? Because our WRs sucked and he and his agent knew it. Agents aren’t going to say no, but making the team as a UDFA isn’t akin to lottery odds as you said and he and his agent got $1.8M in OTAs. That was their goal. $225k is peanuts compared to Coker’s likely lifelong Panthers income and if he went to a team with a stocked WR corps for $250k, he would have screwed up. I don’t know why this is even up for debate. His agent got him $1.8M over 2 years by OTAs because it was the easiest roster for a good UDFA WR to make. All things equal, take the extra $20k if offered but our situation is absolutely why he signed here not an extra $20-40k. Having an easy road to $1.8M (and more) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> a new Camry.

I mean, I never once made the comparison to our 15-1 season culminating a Super Bowl appearance. I did say, numerous times, how completely unhinged that is. However, you doubled and tripled down on it. Lol. All this is available to read in the thread above. But, keep digging that booze hole deeper. It will just make a very funny aside later in the season.

Based on the division from the early 2000's-2010 I would agree 2013-2015 were down years in some ways in comparison. But even that is still tougher than what we've got now. Look I'll admit Baker Mayfield surprised me and I've always said he's had the phsyical talent but he still has to prove he can sustain the level of play he's been showing. Even there were times last year he looked like hot garbage Baker. That game against us in Charlotte he was putrid. So don't get me wrong I'm in no way saying this division is a free ride. I'm just saying hot and cold Baker Mayfield and other unproven QB's on rosters with numerous question marks are not much of a comparison to Drew Brees/Sean Payton and Matt Ryan/Julio Jones or Tom Brady/Gronk.

Lol, that is so wrong. “The money” as you said is under $100k difference. Coker’s agent got him a $1.8M extension during OTAs. Below’s a quote I found. It’s dark, but it says 20%, not exactly lottery odds. Not all last the whole year but each team is still adding a couple/few every year. For “good” UDFAs, they will take the money but they are 100% going to teams where they think they can make the roster. Making the roster is life changing money. In 2016, 117 of 590 undrafted free agents (19.8 percent) made a Week 1 roster or injured reserve, and another 125 (21.2 percent) made a practice squad, according to the NFL Players Association.

I know it’s repetitive, but next year and the year after…wow. Florida played halfway and it was a 1-0 game with 5 to go. Don’t kid yourself, this is most likely the end. However, I am excited for the offseason, who knows what this roster will look like. I know I love Nikishin, Stankoven, and even Janokowski. Future is blinding.

I mean you can believe what you want but we offered him far and away the most money The Panthers entered the draft needing to acquire multiple receivers. It explains why they made Coker one of the highest-paid undrafted players. They signed Coker to a deal that contained a $25,000 signing bonus with $225,000 in salary guarantees, according to ESPN. It’s more money than some late-round draft picks make. It signals how badly Morgan wanted to add Coker to his roster and it should improve his chances of making the team.
-
Seriously? You actually think Coker signed with us for the money? Dude made the team easily and got a 2 year deal that dwarfed the UDFA money. Sorry, but you are smoking crack if you think that Coker and his agent weren’t looking at the Panthers are the easiest team to make the 53. It was and he got a two year deal on May 10th. That’s how easy it was for him to make the 53, he got a contract during OTAs.
-
Oh youre just an asshole got it. I never said I thought this team was a superbowl contender or even a player away from anything and you know it. I was just comparing the situation which is similar even tho you can't see it. I'm sure if the team did somehow make it to the playoffs this season, 10 years from now you will claim to have known it all along.

your Panthers are on the field https://x.com/KassidyGHill/status/1927395130840957284 And DB is back on the field! https://x.com/daringantt/status/1927393134947819901

Well remember the division was on the decline at that time. We won it at 7-8-1 the year before. We were the only playoff team and team above .500 in 2015.

Our defense was sick and we had a qb that went supernova. Was a thing of beauty to watch in real time

Ramsey has always been one of my favorite players in the league but I’m not sure he should be a priority for us right now. I’m sure Evero would love to have him and he’d line him up everywhere. Nickel/Safety and outside and would provide a lot of flexibility for Evero but my worry is still our pass rush. I’m not depending on 2 rookie edge rushers and Wonnum and Pat Jones. If the Panthers are to make a big move still I’d prefer it be for Hendrickson. Ramsey would be a great addition if we had a pass rush but we don’t
-
I am not going to be upset, I just really won't understand the thought process unless he is interested in sticking around long term. I definitely am not going to buy Super Bowl tickets if it happens, which I am assuming you are browsing just in case we do trade for him?

Agreed. I’m not sure why we think UDFAs are 100% about the money and us throwing money means we got the best ones. Sure, all things equal, get what you can get, an agent/player are looking to stick with a team. I got into a back and forth with someone in here about this when we signed UDFAs after the draft and ended the discussion with the below. Just look at Coker last year, do you really think he signed with the Panthers for the most money and not because our WRs sucked? He got a $25k bonus and $225k guaranteed. Thats nice and all but what did Coker get by being able to make the team and stick for year 2+? He got $795k for 2024 and $960k for 2025. The UDFA guarantees are nice but the top UDFA players are absolutely 100% trying to find the best team fit. Again, talking about the guys who have the ability to make the 53, not guys who are jumping at any offer they can get. Making the team as a UDFA gets you 4-5x the initial money.
