  1. Past hour
  2. I know people accuse me of mental gymnastics but if you put the all hands on deck alarm that was out there for the QB, so much of it makes sense as far as what they were thinking. Canales and Morgan both were hired with a mandate. Tepper is not a patient man. Told Reich Young’s bad footwork needed to be fixed that week. Which was Reich’s next to last or maybe last week. Something like that. Near the end. Morgan for sure was aware of that situation. Rech had told him it would take an offseason. And it did. More really, that still isn’t fixed right.
  3. That’s right. Lawyer Milloy rings the bell. You can’t go by week one, dating that far back. Week two is off the table for me anymore, with the 3 preseason games and the CBA limiting team activities, practices, whatever. I mean, 2 a days? Forget it.
  4. Today
  5. Ladd at least made some sense because he is built like an equipment manager
  6. ...over Zach Frazier And that was after we'd already taken Legette over Ladd McConkey.
  7. Yep Focus on cmc..here comes kittle long drives resulting in tds by panthers offense is required Can’t waste a single one its been raining out here but tomorrow….sunny and 62 I. Santa Clara
  8. I see it this way: LB Edge OC QB2 S OT WR (depends on how XL does)
  9. I just saw the Texas hit and honestly they need to ban jumping on these plays.
  10. I've seen it more than once, typically from slow starting teams that improve as the season progresses. So far, that seems to fit Canales MO. It's why I think his offseason program needs some tinkering.
  11. Florida gon' f around and screw my over 58.5.
  12. GT woke up. 28-14 at half with momentum completely in GT's favor.
  13. Same season as us, I'm pretty sure. They lost their opener 41-0 in what was a revenge game for a recently cut Lawyer Milloy. Everyone thought they were cooked. Didn't play out that way. Stuff like that is why I don't put huge stock in stat driven analysis or poor early season / preseason performances. If you think back to week one, people had us contending for the number one pick this year after how we looked early on.
  14. So you think that is a common scenario over the course of a season?
  15. Bryce better be ready to throw for 450 yards again. We will need it. Thankfully their defense is worse than ours when it comes to rushing the passer. Jacoby dropped back sixty times last week and wasn't sacked
  16. Well, he is playing this week so....
  17. Methinks he very clearly violated the terms of the agreement. Hence why it isn't being blasted publicly.
  18. Not to me. You win six games by 3 points but lose one by 30, you have a negative point differential but still have a winning record. Stats are flukey in football. That's why I don't rely on them for evaluation. Again, my evaluation of this team is not that they're a great team or even a very good team. What I've seen doesn't bear that out. I see an average to potentially above average team that can beat bad teams and also has been able to hang with some good ones. Mind you, that's an improvement from previous seasons but it's still not where we want to be. And no, I'm still not convinced we get to where we want to be with Bryce at the helm. But we have some challenging games coming up where he at least has a chance to prove me and other doubters wrong. Bottom Line: I doubt my overall assessment of the team is all that different from yours. We just arrive at our respective takes via differing paths.
  19. We also took XL over McConkey. The Panthers always have an almost illogical hard on for project players that fulfill height/weight/speed parameters who may not have been the best players in college. Although to be fair, Tmac was consistently productive and that paid off. They didn't over think that pick and they benefited. McConkey was insanely explosive at Georgia but the Panthers probably never even considered him with a below average height/weight/other measurable.
  20. 4th and 3 inside the 15 and GT is gonna kick a FG? No way. You're down 4 scores. You gotta go for 7. Okay, they called a timeout. Surely they're going for it.
  21. I was going to say this. Don't expect anything like the Falcons game last Sunday. I don't think we'll have answers defensively for Kittle and McCaffrey. Among others. Missing your two starting ILBs and your starting Center is an absolute killer. The only thing we have going for us is pure luck that injuries and free agency have decimated the 49ers defense recently. If they had their Super Bowl defense with Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, and the secondary guys they lost. Then this would have been a massacre. Maybe we have a slight chance if we can somehow get the pass rush going and stop cmc from murdering us.
  22. This is an odd Sunday since we aren't playing until Monday night. I usually have the day off but I have to work until right around 1PM. What games will you be watching if any? Will you take the opportunity of the Panthers not playing on Sunday to do other stuff or will you watch other games? I'm mostly interested in Colts vs Cheifs at 1PM and the Sunday night game, Buccaneers vs Rams. I have a passing interest in Browns vs Raiders because Shedur Sanders is starting a full game for the first time. (I followed Colorado college football really closely the last 2 years, now I'm mostly following Texas games this season). If the Bucs lose Sunday night and we win Monday night, we may be leading the division. Not sure.
