  1. Past hour
  2. I say the blame goes to the GM, in this case its Mike Browns daughter since shes the chief contract person. The bungals don't even have a person listed as GM, cause that would cost more money to pay them. I've heard they also pay scouts the least among teams too... This is just classic bungals having a repeat like in the "old" holdout days. They were the worst team about holdouts too........again blame the GM daughter. The deal is I believe she is just doing what Mike Brown wants, to save every penny possible.... Mike use to send her to owners meetings too, i bet she flew coach on southwest....
  3. “Leave Our Mark” This reminds of me that time they tried to make the chest pump from Wolf of Wall Street a thing.
  4. Because they think he's gonna bust and they want to be able to wiggle out of the deal. Everyone knew he was boom or bust. I think something happened since the draft that makes them think he's a bust.
  5. Putting your faith into a "mid", that's one bold strategy my fren....
  6. It sounds like they are having second thoughts about drafting him and tried to insert some weird unique clause into his contract. They screwed up and now they have to pay the piper.
  7. So…..it’s just launching the “leave our mark” slogan? Tepper really hates Keep Pounding Need another hand so I can give this 3 thumbs down
  8. Yeah, when you draft a guy you have to understand and realize you're going to be giving him a contract commensurate with that draft position. It is what it is. If you don't want to do that for anyone on the board, trade down. Hell, pull a Vikings and sit on your ass and let the time run out and the next team up pick. LOL! But don't draft the guy and then think you're going to get away with some contract shenanigans. Hell, his agent can't allow it looking out for his own interests. If Stewart was willing to sign a deal wildly out of step with the norm on a bad way his agent would probably tell him he's got a walk. If I want to sign future 1st round draft prospects I can't be a part of this.
  9. Yea, I don't know why they are insisting this new clause to be be included. (well its money, its always money). Just the issue, or one of the big issues, is no other team is doing it. They are trying to start a trend..... guess what the team picked right after and before stewart didn't not have this clause in the contract and they have already signed. They totally look like the bad guy in all this and like I posted before, their rep is awful among agents. Mike Brown uses his daughter negotiate contracts cause she took law courses. Look it up, many say if she is doing that, she is the GM... I bet you can not guess who the GM is....... save you some time, there isn't one.... so maybe it is the daughter....
  10. Eh, I can see where you're coming from, but at the same time, unless the new jerseys were just god awful ugly, how many people would just cancel their order at that point? Those people, like myself, bought it because they wanted T-Mac's jersey, not because they loved the current uniforms and just wanted one. But I kinda hope they do give us new uniforms next offseason, just like with Cam, so this version of T-Mac's jersey will always be his "rookie jersey" which would be pretty neat. It was pretty well known at the time that we were getting new jersey's that next season so I waited to get my Cam until then and got an Authentic one, which is great, but I do still kinda regret not having a Cam rookie jersey in my collection.
  11. Poverty franchise behavior. If you don't like him as a 3rd rounder then why'd you draft him there? As others have said, they likely found out some new information and have buyer's remorse. Our FO didn't give DJ Johnson a hard time for being a bad pick.
  12. Best I heard its a clause the bungals want to add. It prevents them form paying the full guaranteed amount if triggered. No one knows the details of the clause, but guesses are it relates to off-field stuff. Stewart is in the right here. Before they signed burrow, chase, and Higgins they were the cheapest team in the league bar none. Unlike tepper or jarrah Jones or any other NFL ownership, all Mike brown owns is the beagals. Every other owner has many other money making businesses, not bungals. I still remember when Brenston Bunker was starting on WFNZ and he told the story about the beagals telling him to pick a used cup form a huge pile, LOLS! They been on hard knocks and I remember Marvin lewis telling the players not to take home Gatorade bottles........* but in that case, I believe some players were taking a back pack and filling it up with drinks. Still you make millions(around 200million) in net profit and Im sure coke gave the team those bottles, still... Its a 32 team billion business, someone has to the cheapest.....Panthers were around the next cheapest team before tepper bought them and he has POURED millions upon millions into the team. He bought a bubble that Richardson never would, so the team had to gather in a old building during the rain. He spent millions on coofus machines that he just gave away like the bubble. Tepper made that AC trailer a thing. I've trashed him about his concerts and taking away end zone seats from fans. But the guy will spend money any way in efforts to better the team, dang I just remembered the deal he gave Rhule- more than Andy Reid at the time. I know results have not came, but Id 100% take Tepper over Mike brown as a owner.
  13. There's no way they're shipping you some uniform you haven't seen lol. I feel like they'd just refund you and ask if you wanted the new one when it launched. Probably just making the blues the primary, or a new helmet for a new alternate/variation.
  14. Today
  15. Man even after 5-12 seasons they are able to produce hype videos.
  16. Well they haven't been shipped out yet despite this past Friday being when they were supposed to and then an email went out saying they were pushed back a few more weeks. So you could make an argument that they delayed them as they'll be the new uniform and the team hasn't been ready to debut them yet, but I still don't see that at all being the case as it would just be weird to do it all after the draft and after all the rookie card pictures have been taken in the existing ones too.
  17. He ran out of excuses this past year with the sorriest panther defense in its 30 year history. I get DB was a huge loss, scheme up and figure it out. There was poor game plans and poor calls during the whole season. Like you said they started bad and NEVER showed improvement. Personally he needs to show me something by week 8 or fire his arse that week. Plenty of other DCs were making chicken salad with chicken shiit. The big issue for me, is he is the highest paid DC in the league. If you are that guy you need to produce better than 32nd in many defense categorizes. He can not have a repeat.

  19. I agree with this part. But you already bought your T-Mac jersey, so I understand your bias lol.
  20. Here something else to consider. We're already heavily reliant on rookies at EDGE rusher with two 2nd round rookies on the roster. If you add a third that's going to be three rookies on that unit and you're going to have to bounce a vet. That scenario had Wonnum included in the trade along with a 2nd and a 4th. Three rookies on one unit just seems like a bad idea. Rookies need a lot of coaching and development and you're going to be stretching that thing while also requiring them to play a lot of snaps.
  21. In past years this is how you end OTAs, minicamp, and rookie camp. Big table meeting, with the HC asking each position coach about their group. For the weak ones or ones with rookies of the non-first/second scheduled to start, the HC will asked them - " Would you state your job on the rookies being ready?? ". Then 99% of the coaches say they need to call a vet in. No coach is willing to state their or have a belief that a rookie can make 17 games in this league.
  22. This, even more so now that we know the team was so high on T-Mac, as highly drafted offensive skill position players sell a poo ton of jerseys. If we were planning on new uniforms this year, they'd have done it before the draft so they could capitalize on the hype of the rookie pick to help sell even more jerseys. To be honest, at this point, I think Tepper is waiting on Bryce to make a jersey update. Once Bryce proves himself one way or the other, Tepper will update the jersey's that following offseason. If he proves he's our franchise QB of the future, releasing them that offseason will drive a ton of sales. Just as the same is the opposite, if Bryce struggles again and the team knows they'll replace him in the draft, they'll release them that year to again, drive sales.
  23. I’d give a 3 and 5 and take a big swing. Not big enough to give our 2nd tho
  24. Nothing against any of our picks this year, but I don't think any of them necessarily justify timing a uniform swap. It's more about wanting a fresh look for a new era a lot of times. It doesn't always coincide with year 1 of a rookie. Purely anecdotal, but I feel a lot of uniform updates happen in year 2-3 of a build. I think it's because most teams don't wanna use a good design on a team that ends up being trash lol.
