It's interesting because if you go to the Panthers reddit thread about this there are a few comments about not touching the QB in practice but the majority love the energy from the rookie pass rusher. Some are saying Bryce needs to work on holding the ball regardless. And others are wondering aloud if Canales went overboard ending practice early. Nobody going off the deep end about Princely nearly putting Bryce Young in a full body cast like the huddle here.

yeah Charles Johnson is a Panther leggy, he was VERY good until that scumbag Pats player Leg whipped him on MNF in 2013. He Deserves to be in our Ring of Honor imo -

At this point I don't see a realistic scenario where Coker would not be a lock. Showed great skills last year with room for growth and huge upside. Anything can change but so far it looks as though he has a bright future was a great find for the team in last years UDFA crop. -

I often wonder what the can of worms would be if we drafted Stroud. Could see a reality where Stroud was good enough to carry us to 8-9 win seasons and we are going into year 3 with him and Reich. I think we would have been in the absolute dead zone of of 6 win floor and 10 win ceiling with those two together. -
People shout about how they want effort. They shout about how bad the defense is. Then they turn and around and attack rookie pass rushers on their personal Twitter accounts over a simple misunderstanding in the rookies first training camp. The only clowns in this situation are the ones flip flopping.

because all the great defenses in the NFL hit their QB in training camp. Every single coach in the league currently and historically would agree with Canales here. Period. Quit being a clown

If he's top 3 in receptions then our offense has a real problem. -
The stuff being reported about Demani's comfort and communication at the top of the shell is giving me life ngl

Super eager to see this rebooted DL + EDGE group show us some promise during preseason. The LB group is going to need all of the help that they can get.
-
Will be based in Charlotte. I'll expect to see the Panthers to show up somehow (based on previous promotional-related episodes)

It's not hard to imagine scenario where Hunter is in top 3 in receptions on this team in 2025. He gets open better than practically everyone, and runs safer/easier routes for BY. -
forgot good catch, same draft though
-
Coker might take offense to that last part.
-
I'm really excited for Demani, been awhile since we had a good UDFA

You're falling on deaf ears here man. These same people will be the first ones slinging all kinds of insults and obscenities in the gameday threads if and when the defense inevitably struggles just like they did all last season. Complaint after complaint after complaint after complaint about the defensive effort and how the defense didn't give a sh*t. It's hilarious.

Lol some people would rather see the starting QB injured than see a 3rd round pick get coached.

[The Athletic] Top 10 Carolina Panthers camp storylines
Bear Hands replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I imagine they'll wait until August. Maybe they'll see how Rozeboom & Wallace jive in the coming weeks. If it looks iffy, they're going to look at the market, and then cuts. Maybe trades but I don't think we need to be desperate about it since we're still building the defense. With that said, watch them turn around and sign somebody this week haha - Today

Fields was touched? I'm not reading that anywhere. Injuries happen in camp preseason and the regular season. And they do regularly to positions across the roster. Our backup QB was held out and sent back to the bench over a simple thumb sprain that happened away from the team. If it's going to happen it's going to happen. Going around whailing at rookies with a megaphone like lunatics isn't going to change the fact that Bryce Young is a small QB and he's going to get hit and he also has a tendency to turn the ball over. Focus on the things that ultimately matter and truly effect winning and losing.

raleigh-panther started following ESPN and NFL closing in on ‘Next Era’-defining media deal
-
As a fan the amount being paid to streaming services to watch the nfl and other sports is expensive and exhausting I mean, the NFL Is on multiple platforms now Youtube, Amazon Prime, NFL Network ESPN etc etc Below Are some excerpted sections from long Athletic article ‘ ….according to sources briefed on negotiations, ESPN and the NFL are inside the 5-yard line on another ground-breaking deal for ESPN to acquire NFL Media, the arm of the league that focuses on content and runs the NFL Network. The deal, though different from the way the league and the all-sports network deepened their ties in 1987, comes as ESPN makes its programming available in a direct-to-consumer product this fall. ESPN is hyping this upcoming iteration as “The Next Era,” at a price of $29.99 per month. ‘Today, still strong, but diminished, ESPN charges more than $10 per month for its services, but with the digital revolution, the rise of Netflix and other streaming options has resulted in just 65.3 million homes receiving ESPN through cable, satellite and services like YouTube TV and Fubo, according to Nielsen.’ ESPN wants to maintain as many of those viewers as it can. Those subscribers will be able to have access to ESPN in its traditional format, while adding the ability to log on to the new and improved direct-to-consumer app, launching soon. What could be in the deal is the Red Zone Channel, NFL Network, seven regular-season games that appear on NFL Network, enhanced betting and fantasy league possibilities. There may be more. Red Zone is the Sunday afternoon show that takes viewers inside all the stadiums when teams are threatening to score. This could be a boon for ESPN’s app, as well as in its future negotiations with cable and operators for its slew of networks. It could upsell Red Zone in the app, as well as demand more from operators (like YouTube TV, Fubo or cable systems) to continue to offer the service on its platform every Sunday in the fall. The NFL Network, under ESPN, would likely be enhanced. ESPN’s main channels would still feature the NFL a lot of the time, but the devoted network would be on 24/7. With sports betting and fantasy becoming an increasing part of the fan experience, ESPN can be expected to use its potentially enlarged user base integration into its new direct-to-consumer app for what it will likely hope is a transformative experience and increased subscriber growth. In 2024, of the 100 highest-rated programs on television, 72 were NFL games. This does not appear to be changing anytime soon. With increased NFL competition from Amazon Prime Video on Thursday nights, Netflix on Christmas and now, for the first time, YouTube, for the second game of the 2025 season from Brazil, to go along with fellow traditional players such as Fox, NBC and CBS, a closer relationship for ESPN with the league would seem to make sense.

He gone. The more big plays Hunter comes up with, the more he will see the field; that goes the same for the rest of the WRs. Who is it that makes the big, got to have this, plays consistently. This is going to be a really fun year. Even preseason games will be interesting. -

Hopefully there was a behind-the-scenes chat with Dan/Dave/Tep to say "let football people football" - which appears to correlate to the perception that Tep has been more hands-off in their world vs where he was earlier It may not be much, but if there is a cause-effect then we could give sincere/honest thanks to Frank for his contribution to that improvement -

Yeah, he's making the team without a doubt. The real question is how much playing time will he get? He's definitely behind XL, Tet, and Thielen. Coker was fuging awesome last year and is almost certainly ahead of him too. So he will get time in 5 wide sets or occasional spells but I wouldn't expect much production from him. Nice depth to have though in case of injury.
