  1. Past hour
  2. They must really be comfortable enough with Coker stepping into Thielen's shoes and T-Mac's development to where he'll definitely be getting plenty of targets now. If they think BY and our three young receivers will be the nucleus of our long term future, then might as well do this now and learn to play together.
  3. This is a good move IMO. Will miss AT but we aren’t winning right now and I like the return personally
  4. I don't think it should be contingent on turning Bryce isn't a franchise QB. I'm skeptical of some things with Canales as well but he's a coach not a miracle worker. He can't change Bryce's physical make up. Furthermore if you fire him before giving him an opportunity to identify and acquire his own QB you are not going to get quality coaching candidates the next cycle.
  5. After he didn't have a choice, but it isn't what he wants to run and the teams WR's aren't set up or appropriately skilled at what BY would ultimately need for a system. The pieces don't fit together naturally is my point basically.
  6. His exact words were in that video, "after 30, every year is one more closer to retirement and we had some loosing seasons and I was frustrated. I took that out on cam and the team." We had a good relationship early on but I wasn't patient with him and wasn't willing to be. Steve even went after him in 2012 and said he didn't want to learn was a sulking baby. Also said it wasn't Newton himself, just the fact it was a young QB and he was a vet who wanted a vet throwing to him and a chance to win.
  7. There was an article previously posted that highlighted how Canales morphed his offense over the course of the season to better fit Bryce.
  8. I like Hooker. Played HS ball at Greensboro Dudley, won 2 state championships. 3rd round pick by Detroit. He probably would have been drafted higher but a knee injury sidelined him for his rookie year. Player of the year in the SEC in 2022 at Tennessee. It would be nice if he had a chance to show enough to be the back up qb going forward.
  9. I think Renfrow just wanted to be in and around football again. And being home was THE selling point to comeback. Carolina was THE pick. Comeback only went about because a team existed in the Carolinas. I don't think he had an illusion of being a focal part of the O. And I think he will decline any interest elsewhere to play.... I'll bet nickel he ends up coaching football for the far and away best football team in Carolinas in the not too distant future.
  10. Panthers waive 2024 sixth-rounder DL Jaden Crumedy This plus the AT trade make room for the recently claimed Damarri Mathis and Dalevon Campbell.
  11. Outside of Jaycee (who is injury prone), everyone else has been disappointing. Just tired of the Gamecocks at this point.
  12. Dave Canales success or failure ultimately comes down to Bryce Young. And the Panthers have never played a game that caters to Bryce Young. Canales missed his window. No way he gets time to part w/ Bryce and start his rebuild year 3 from scratch....with 2 bad years to his name. Nothing says David Tepper would allow that.
  13. smh, damn, I was happy because of his speed but D.Jackson would at least try...smdh
  14. For all of the people upset about Renfrow being cut, did you ever think that maybe he wanted to be cut because he would essentially be 4th or 5th on the depth chart and he wants to go where he will be able to get on the field? Just saying, we don't have all of the information.
  15. 100% true. As much as I bash Bryce Young. It's failure by design. It's why I went so hard at Frank Reich before it was popular. Despite all the talk, nothing they were doing seemed to suggest they were aware they went all in on Bryce Young. Same w/ Canales. Don't let a couple random games of not being bad fool you...Bryce Young is opposite of what Dave Canales needs from his QB.
  16. Guys let's not go off the deep end over Renfrow. Canales success or failure will come down to whether or not he develops these young players.
  17. love it and the Vikings are paying him so that free's up money
  18. The cowboys already turned down a better off thern that from the Packers. 2 firsts, a second and Gary.
  19. that's the only statement on this move that has made any sense.
  20. Dave Canales warned/told folks......he isn't creative. That's not what he does. He is just going to do what he does. I'm 100% convinced that's why Renfrow as cut. Renfrow in no way fits the scheme. and this season is going to be horrible as the NFL adjust to the one year film of Bryce Young in the scheme he doesn't fit.
  21. Which creates a problem with the current QB not fitting his system and why I firmly believe he has three years left unless everything just absolutely falls apart and it's not Bryces fault
  22. Mathis was this guy. I remember this play. https://x.com/JMurrayWrld/status/1712653245871747102?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1712653245871747102|twgr^9555d22e528b85c7ccb444160001054d82df7dea|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2F176oh7d%2F%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dfalse https://x.com/JMurrayWrld/status/1712653245871747102?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1712653245871747102|twgr^9555d22e528b85c7ccb444160001054d82df7dea|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2F176oh7d%2F%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dfalse
