  1. Past hour
  2. That is his M.O. for the first two years. Has players identified and makes his pitch when things kick off. Wish we could have scored Williams last year but understand why we didn’t. He sets his sights high though.
  3. Replace an earnest but fairly empty head with a head case may not be the best solution. I am gunshy of guys with attitudes that allow them to miss meetings and stuff like that. You just don’t want them around. Or, I don’t anyway. If we want value out of Legette we gotta rehab him this offseason, get him looking better before that trade deadline. If that’s possible. As he is, what the hell could you really get for him? Our top two offensive coaches have WR coaching in their background, they should be able to improve him.
  4. Except we never take Clemson players-- but this year I think we break that rule. Especially since our run on Gamecocks is not going well.
  5. "The one other noteworthy thing PFF analyst Mark Chichester pointed out was that Corey Thornton, in limited action, was third among rookie cornerbacks with a 68.6 PFF grade." I need to see more of this guy. From what I've seen so far he could end up taking the nickel spot ahead of CSW.
  6. My ideal scenario is Quay Walker (LB) from Green Bay and Jaelan Phillips (rush end) from Eagles. I think Dan will be hyper aggressive and fill these two roles on day 1.
  7. The value is in round 2. Good call. I think we are going OT in round 1, unless the top 3, maybe 4 are gone.
  8. If he had been on the market at the start of this he may have been the highest rated candidate out there. 12 years younger than Harbaugh. Turned Buffalo around very quickly. I think he is a great fit for Pittsburgh. People say he is too old but I think they don’t realize he is 51 not pushing 60. He has been in the game a long time, got an early start though. He could give them well over ten years of service. Easily. The firing may light a fire under his ass too. He’ll likely self scout and find stuff to improve and will be motivated.
  9. I’m very intrigued by TJ Parker. Had a just ok year after two outstanding years. Still really young. Felt like the whole Clemson team was off this year. He could be a very good pick for us in the first round.
  10. One of my favorite things are people jumping for joy saying Bryce is less bad than Stroud. Nothing about Bryce being good, just that Stroud was even worse this year… We all have a different expectations I guess…
  11. I don’t remember Ealy’s age but Scourton is very young. Which is really encouraging. So much headroom left before he really matures and tops out. Potentially.
  12. LOL I haven't heard that name in a long time!
  13. Yeah nobody ever really knows how much of a player ultimately being a success is scouting vs development/coaching. It's always a mix and you need both, and both need to be aligned as players you scout could fit in one coach's system but not fit in others. That's why you need coaching staff and front office to be in lock step.
  14. Except, there is no starter tier money that goes that low, that it qualifies as a good price on a backup. The guys with the big deals probably make 8-12 times or maybe even more than what their backups make. 33 mil or whatever per year, that is still multiples of what the highest paid backups make. 4-8 million is common with a couple of higher exceptions out there. Okay I looked. The highest guys I see that are backups are topping out at around 7 mil. Lots are down in the 4 range. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/player/_/year/2026/position/qb/sort/contract_average People don’t think Bryce would accept 30-33 million per year extension. So I guess even the 5th year option price of 26.5 is way too low. That’s like 6 times what Dalton s getting. 4mil. Several guys are right there with him. Gotta think his WAR would be higher in a more productive passing offense.
  15. Yeah, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on him on day three. No doubting his talent. He's not a guy you want to play early on in his career but those guys go in the 1st round.
  16. Yeah I'm super excited about Scourton. I'm just holding back my excitement a bit as I was also incredibly excited about Kony Ealy and that came back to bite me. Hence why I'm "nearly sold" but not "completely sold."
  17. McDermott will get exactly what he wants or he will just sit out a year.
  18. An organization who was trash for 20 years fires there coach of the last 9 years with a 106-58 record over losing a divisional round playoff game (per the owner) in a down coaching cycle and promotes a GM whom 80% of the fan base can’t stand. No, sounds horrible.
  19. I saw on a video where Allen is the only player to account for 50 TDs in a season, including playoffs, to Not go to a SB. (that year) And he has done that twice.
  20. I don’t see McDermott having to settle for the Titans. Maybe I am wrong about them and it isn’t the ‘settle’ I think it is. The owner hasn’t shown me much. But they are supposedly building a new stadium and the money will flow to get that filled up, they are going to try and win. So there is that. They have some talent and a high draft slot and the number 1 pick from 2025. I want to see what they do with Levis. If he just cuts down the wtf bonehead decisions by half, he is a maybe. All the physical tools. Should be cheap.
  21. Today
  22. Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.
  23. Bad timing on this for him and the Panthers. But you could do a whole lot worse than McDermott that’s for sure.
  24. Using a different metric (WAR), here's from Sports Illustrated: "WAR is a difficult stat to analyze, but it essentially means how many wins a player added to their team. So without McMillan, the Panthers lose half a game more, and likely do not make the playoffs. It's most known in baseball, but with there being almost 10 times the games in the MLB, the numbers make a lot more sense. Essentially, if McMillan were in the MLB, that WAR would've translated to 4.8 WAR, which makes him equivalent to George Springer and Mookie Betts, two very good baseball players." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/onsi/news/how-carolina-panthers-rookie-performed-2025
