I think we might end up going with Max Iheanachor, very high upside OT, in round 1.

Per Bill Barnwell: Lloyd will be a difficult evaluation for some teams. In 2024, Lloyd struggled so badly that the Jaguars really should have considered benching their 2022 first-round pick. There wasn't a great effort level from him on tape, and he looked like he wasn't up to the standards of being a starting-caliber linebacker. It was easy for the new Jags regime to decline his fifth-year option. And then in 2025, Lloyd was a different player. He racked up five picks, including that pick-six of Patrick Mahomes that fueled a famous Jags victory. The effort concerns disappeared. Lloyd managed 1.5 sacks and 10 knockdowns as a blitzer. He wasn't a great run defender, as Lloyd took longer to make tackles on run plays (5.1 seconds) than any regular off-ball linebacker in the league and made both run tackles and stuffs at below-average rates. But Lloyd was impactful enough against the pass to earn a deserved trip to the Pro Bowl. The real Lloyd is likely somewhere in between. It's tough to imagine him racking up five interceptions per year, although Lloyd managed three as a rookie. Most players didn't really put their best forward playing out the string for a hopeless 2024 Jags team. I'd want to make sure Lloyd was in the right spot on a competitive team, but he can be a valuable player on a defense https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47994520/2026-nfl-free-agency-best-players-available-defense-contract-tiers-market-barnwell

Yeah the more I learned the less interested I became. And wasn’t interested much in the first place.

Would you want to pay 30? I think it will be a lot closer to that than 12-15 when it all shakes out. I’m not thinking I want to, with Bryce still here.

Joe Person: Austin Corbett is not expected back with Panthers
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This might not even be related to his play. “Not expected back” gives us nothing, it could be he doesn’t want to come back. It could be we want to move on. If he is seen as a street level talent the only thing he offers above a random guy is familiarity. At this point I would say he is probably out of upside. So if we can find equal with some upside, that is what we need to do. Hard to say with such little inside info. -
First time they've lost back to back league games in like 7 years lol
-
I'm not buying it. He doesn't have enough good tape and production to get that kind of coin. I'll believe it when I see it.

In the piece and others reports have the fins and cards as the main teams. With the cards being the leader, funny how both are losing big numbered QB then even looking at Willis for 60.......good luck with paying the QB spot near 100mill in cap space.....

They think it’s hitting a baseball I guess. 3 successful ABs out of 10 gets you paid. I have a post from a day or two ago just off the cuff, I didn’t document… but going through the season and putting his quality performances in one pile and the rest in another. I don’t know what kind of success you can have with that. People who think that because he played well against the Rams in the playoffs means that he will do that in every game going forward are willfully ignoring the flip side. But his people have always been fond of cherries. It doesn’t mean he won’t but it in no way proves he will.

Thats starter money. What team is going to give him that to start for them? Jets are the only team I can think of.

He was on the indie circuit for quite a while developing this gig. It's a comedy character in the vein of the Munsters or Svengoolie. He was picked up by AEW for the last three years or so and just won everyone over. He wrestles less than he adds comedic bits, and I'd try to describe what he does, but it's one of those you just have to see it things. Here's a look:

@csx hit a homer run with his statement, I too wish I stopped reading/hearing terrible stories about one of my favorite players. Now in this crazy sound bite/go viral/why are these athletes taking about stuff that was off-limits.....hell its like the fuging navy seals yapping with podcast stuff...just why??? for clout and bits or $$$??? ugh Im too old school. Steve needs to shut his big mouth, but that's his check maker now...which I feel is past due to end given all the recent reports....

If you took the crests off their jerseys I would've thought I was watching Gardner Webb's soccer team. What an absolute unskilled, lazy and uninspired match from Real.

Panthers have 85 million in cap space for 2027, they could use a portion of that for signing FAs now. Simple EX, longer years with high guarantee/signing bonus. 30 million SB over 5 years is 6 million + min sal(1.__) thus the cap number for year one is 7.2. Year two or 2027 when the 85 million is there, base jumps up 10 + 6 pro-rated SB= 16 million cap number. I believe they have many plans. If certain players agree to their numbers, you could see some contracts that use future tricks to borrow from 27+ to land 26 FAs. I think the main plan is one big fish either Lloyd or a edge or even a LT. then wait for 2nd wave when prices drop hard. Sign about 4-10 bargain bin players and head to the draft with around 27 spots open....

I am on board with drafting a Center. However any scenario where we give an extension to our current QB means we can forget building a well rounded roster and maximize this young core. Especially considering most are suggesting he needs elite pieces across the board just to look servicable. -
2026 NFL Combine Thread: 2.26.26 - 3.1.26
firefox1234 replied to Soul Rebel's topic in Carolina Panthers
He didn’t participate in the combine due to a hamstring injury. Pretty big red flag when you’re already have injury concerns… -
I listened to the Tillis interview and he seems like a super smart guy. Said that him and his team are always looking 2-3 years in the future( as they should be). Honestly I think we have a really good FO. Also... it also seems like its hard to fug us the cap.. too many teams (Saints) were talked about going to cap hell and nothing happened. CAP just takes creative accounting.

I think 3mill for one year should be his number. Not bad given the market increase, but if this report is true...Panthers must feel his NFL career is at street level talents. I know it feels like drafting C is in the plan, they can re-sign Corbett and still cut him if some UDFA or rookies out-play him. Hell, I think if both lewis and hunt are at full health I could play C a few snaps before the amberlamps comes gets me..... -
Oddly enough I was just in another thread and saw someone saying if Bryce has another statistical year like last season (4-6 to finish the season and swept by the Saints en route to backing into the playoffs with help from the Falcons) that we should ink him to an extension. These people are mentally ill or something.

Yeah we just can’t accept that level of play going forward, from a guy in his 4th year.
