  1. Past hour
  2. 200+ yards won't be a thing and we do need to be conscious of managing Rico's workload against better defenses, but I think we have it in us to put up some decent numbers this week. I do expect Rico to have his third straight 100+ yard game. We are just blocking really well.
  3. you pissed me off when you wrote your good bye letter 10 years ago. This board needs your insight. You need to join in from time to time. You do read the post's. Glad for this post.
  4. In short, he has not proven to be above what could be considered “replacement level” QB in the NFL. You don’t pay a premium for replacement level players in a salary cap league.
  5. Yeah was a bit hyperbolic. Just find it funny yet again, we're talking about who is genuine and virtuous in their opinions on Bryce.
  6. The Jets are still a bottom 10 run defense. Giving up 10 less yds per game than Dallas. Points wise they are 5th worst with less than a point separation from Miami. They are last in the league in takeways. They are third from last in sacks ( we are last lol) They arent much better.
  7. To focus back on this - it is explicitly the case that if you think Bryce will improve in the future regardless of the circumstances (better team / coaching / development) you are also predicting the future. I still maintain the only difference between so called haters and stans is just how much they think Bryce could realistically improve based on existing play. I do think if we reframed all these discussions into "have you seen enough to give him a 5th year extension already" you'd find near complete agreement from fans lol
  8. Spiral? I haven't seen any spiral, just some pushback on another Bryce-is-really-good-if-he-had-a-team thread.
  9. It's about attributes, production, etc. Evaluation is tough. But there are things that should stick out like a sore thumb. Not loving football is first and foremost. You can be the best athlete on the planet but if you just happen to be GOOD at football but don't really have passion for it....it is NOT going to work out in the NFL. Same with being an insane athlete but being at an elementary level of your progression. DJ Johnson, great example. We don't have until you are 32 for you to progress to being a quality rotational player.
  10. i'm with you. I think he'll start paying off soon. He wasn't worth the 32nd pick but I think he still might give us some help. That TD against Miami was special. That was a well-placed ball and XL had an amazing catch. I think he's improved since last year. I just hope he starts to put more on the stat sheet.
  11. I’m conflicted on locking vs seeing how this continues to spiral… could be entertaining
  12. I don’t remember the exact timeline of Baker but I feel like he was brought in late and started out behind the 8 ball a little bit to start with. Then he played maybe the worst opening quarter to start the season that we have seen in a long time if ever, pre Bryce.
  13. Ha ha. I didn't even see your comment before I made my last. RAS is a motherfúcker to a Panther fan.
  14. Just simply saying rhule is a moron, thats it not a referendum on baker or whatever
  15. Pick the guys that produce on the field, even if they do not have the RAS score that another guy might have. Nothing can replace production. It was mentioned above, but getting productive players from big schools will usually translate to NFL success.
  16. I've seen enough of Bryce, but if he somehow does a 180 on a consistent basis, I'll be ecstatic. Not holding my breath though. And I think you're spot-on about the perspectives on his existing play to date, especially this season. I've only seen him play one good game this season. I suspect that our previous wins before last Sunday is something Andy Dalton could have achieved (and I don't see that as a particularly hot take).
  17. We ran at will against two of the worst defenses in the league. Miami and Dallas. The Jets defense is much better than both of those two teams. S. Wilks will have his defense ready for our run game. That said we still have to run the ball. What gives me confidence that we will continue to run the ball well is that ALL the players on the field are blocking. T-Mac and Evans were both cited for their outstanding blocking in the run game. I think if we get over 100 yds rushing we win this game handily. However, if we don't run effectively than the last two games were just a fluke and we'll be down at the bottom of the list in power rankings. What are your thoughts? Fluke or Future
  18. Oh I for sure did in that thread. Look at the date though: that was right after beating the Falcons 30-0. What do you think was happening in a bunch of other threads? Do you think that the haters were in other threads giving Bryce his flowers or were they doing their best to try and say it was because Penix sucks? You got me doing that in one thread. Now how many threads has frankw done that in? If it's really equal then it shouldn't be more than one or two, correct?
  19. The thing is, a random person makes a statement that few others would make and it gets transposed to the whole group. I vaguely remember the blaming Bryce for a punt return or missing a tackle, whatever it was, and saw that as satire, not literal, but people go off as if it was said in earnest, and then you get the putting it on the skeptics as a group. Again. And for you or anyone to say this doesn’t go both ways, it just makes you look totally biased.
  20. So are you saying Rhule never set Baker up for success. That's part of the reason he didn't work out here?
  21. That's fine however we seem to like a project that is SOOOOO clearly a project(XL being the most recent example). That's what BAD franchises do.
