Dowdle currently is averaging 81 yards a game despite only starting 3 games thus far. In the games he has started 206, 183, 130 he's averaging 173 yards. In Green Bay he rushed for 130 despite having a 21 yard run wiped out due to illegal procedure penalty that could of saw a 150 yard day. Top 5 yards per carry. Dowdle 5:6 (2025) Williams: 5.5 (2008) Stewart: 5.1 (2009) Mccaffrey: 4.8 (2019) Hubbard: 4.7 (2024) If Dowdle continues even close to the pace he's on he's poised to break DeAngelo Williams single season Panther rushing record.

The BY9 situation is classic sunk cost fallacy. We traded premium assets to get him. Every few games he flashes the traits that made him appealing (quick reads, touch, composure) but the macro picture doesnt lie. Hes producing at a bottom-tier level across efficiency metrics in yards per attempt, EPA/play, completion percentage over expected, and explosive plays. Instead of objectively reassessing, the organization continues to justify the investment - new coaches, new systems, new excuses - trying to salvage what was invested. Giving him a 5th year is a self inflicted would. We need to take our lumps and move on

Nix was 16/28 for 150 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs last night en route to putting 10 whole points on the board but the Broncos won so he "won the game". Just laughable.

Well somebody's gonna pay him. It's a fair concern that he won't hold up even until he's 30, as he's 27 now. But I'd be willing to take that risk. Sign me up for 2-3 more seasons of Rico. (Might have to eat a bad one for year 3) Pay him like the top 10 back he's been this season and pound the rock. I think he's got a couple years until he falls off hard like Stephen Davis and Marion Barber.

Id put Derick Anderson and Vinny t above Bryce. Anderson was good the first season he was here and Vinny t threw some absolute dimes and obliterated the cardinals at like 47 years old

Bryce is about the 20th best starter in the league. I think we can be both happy that we are winning and still understand what is needed to truly compete in the playoffs.

The frustrating thing about this team is they are good. But the offense being held back by the guy under center means we have to become one dimensional. I truly believe this is at best a top 15 offense if we had a reliable, good QB. Someone that could average at least 200+ yards a game. The Panthers offense, you can feel the potential, but it will never be reached as long a Bryce is the QB. I am happy for the wins but some of them would have not been close if Bryce was better.

We really need Bryce to get a few chances with it on his shoulders. It may be the only way we can get a new QB (More likely). Or maybe find out we have one (Less likely).

The wins are the dopamine hit that help distract people from just how much of a miss BY9 was/is. Yeah they feel good in the moment but they dont change the reality of our QB situation.
