I didn't think it was weird. It's his final year. He thought the Vikings had a shot at making a real playoff run and his wife wanted to go back to Minnesota where they have roots. Carolina does nothing to upgrade the QB room, Bryce's past performances would lead him to think this is a paycheck, nothing more. I totally get why he'd want out of here. He wanted a shot at a ring and let's be honest, no one had Carolina making any serious deep playoff runs. He's still trying to get a shot at a ring.

It's like they started on trying to work on Jimmy Horn and were like yeah, we can just run the same gadget look for him for the rest of the season. Development for year 1 is over lol. But Horn much like Renfrow doesn't fit a Canales O. The big 3 are really the dudes who should see the field.

Your chart confirms what I noticed yesterday. No real success passing the ball in the middle of the field. Everything is pretty much confined to the area outside the numbers and hashmarks. I didn't realize he only completed 2 passes that were 10 yards beyond the LOS until you mentioned it in an earlier post. BTW, where did you get this chart?

I hope he goes to the AFC and I know the Chiefs were the other consideration when he originally signed with us, but I don’t think their contention chances are very high. I briefly thought about if we could bring him back to help, but I don’t want him taking snaps or roles away from the younger guys. I’d much rather XL or Horn get any snaps Thielen would take.

Bryce has matured, and knows how to go through his progressions and look for the open deep man. Before he would just default to the "Thielen is open for 5 yards" easy button. Not having that forced Bryce to develop. So if he came back, he could fill the slot receiver role nicely. I got not animosity towards him. He wanted to go back to where he had roots for the twilight of his career; and we did him a solid. He never expected he'd have to endure "9" though. So if he wants to come back, no, objections here.

One of the reasons I really didn't like the timing of the Moton extension. Not knowing how Bryce was going to perform and how the option/extension was going to play out, that flexibility of not having that guaranteed $$$ could do a lot moving forward with getting Icky signed. There was nothing wrong with waiting until the end of the season to see how all of this played out then extending him if we felt the need to do so.

In theory, yes, NFL qbs are supposed to make them. In reality, not many would complete it, let alone attempt that pass.

Bryce is averaging less yards in 2025 than in 2024 as a starting QB. ypa attempt is virtually identical, as it's so close next Sunday can swing it under(as he has been under his average in most games this season).

I mean I would bring him back just because you never know with injuries. I wouldn’t guarantee him a ton of snaps though.

Bryce had nearly as many touchdowns (3) as incompletions (5) last week.

Legette reached out with his hands to touch the DB on the way by. Barely a well executed rub. It didn't affect the DB at all (DB mugging TMac the whole route, literally no separation). TMac was running flat since the DB was over top of him. Bryce throws the ball upfield, the DB jumped inside as soon as it was released thinking it would be to where TMac was going. TMac ADJUSTS to the ball and catches it running upfield for the TD. Like come on yall...

They were not happy after a 450 yard passing game, why do you think they'd be happy now? They're not happy when we win 30-0, because Bryce didn't throw for 400 yards. They're not happy when we win on the last drive, because that means we were losing earlier (???). They're not happy when Bryce completes 75% of passes, records 230+ total yards, 3 TDs, 0 turnovers and outduels the MVP favorite because we ran the ball a lot. They will literally never be happy. They would be happier if we were 0-13.

Idk… skipping out on fumbles and completion percentage doesn’t look great. I think the better argument in favor of Bryce is that he has improved in yards, yards per attempt, completion percentage, and touchdowns each year, year over year. That’s pretty promising…except where he started was so dismal. And every third game he flashes that year 1 quality. Honestly I think we’ll keep him.

Did you know through 27 NFL games, XL has more TDs than DJ Moore, Steve Smith, and Mushin Muhammad did 27 games into their careers at Carolina? Some would say, XL is on track to be the GOAT.
