  1. Past hour
  2. I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws. He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general. That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field. Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver. That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
  3. My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that. I think Morgan is going to be good. Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time. That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
  4. Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
  5. He is, but I think he's either still coning back from his injury or playing with a loss of confidence since coming back. Rico is better either way but early in the year Chuba looked more decisive and stronger than he does now
  6. The Packers sold out to stop the run entirely too, and we couldn't risk a sack or interception. It frustrated me but Canales knows his team well
  7. I think in this case in the fourth quarter the game was clearly out of reach, so I agree. But I do think other times players will refuse to go out and you don't want to foster an atmosphere of giving up. But down 30... Yeah...
  8. He would have gotten caught at the 15.
  9. Today
  10. There's very clear improvement in the team and coaching staff and hopefully we do see that built on thru the second half of the season
  11. I think TB probably wins our division but who knows. As to you guys, I think you still have a solid shot. I get the concern but you're still on top of your division now, and I wouldn't be surprised if that continues. You'll probably win 3 of 4 vs Vikings and Bears, beat NYG, and at least one of Philly, Denver, and Baltimore. I think the division may come down to the 2nd game vs the Lions.
  12. I wouldn’t say Lafluer is a good coach. He has a 3-5 playoff record as our coach and Rodgers couldn’t win another title under him. Love has regressed under him too and our offense seems to be getting worse. You guys have a better coach.
  13. They have severe limitations. 29th passing game, no pass rush and are still finding ways to win. I'm encouraged by what I've seen. This season has been a big step forward.
  14. I think we have something in coach Canales, he could be the real deal. He managed the game perfectly, outcoaching a very good Packers HC
  15. I think you guys make the playoffs and we aren’t. Detroit will win the division.
  16. We play the Vikings twice yet, Bears twice, @Detroit, Baltimore, Philly at home and a road game in Denver. I only see us winning 8 games at best. We aren’t beating Philly. It would be a miracle.
  17. The ball hung in the air too long and his anticipation didnt match. He jumped way too early. In all actuality waiting for the ball to arrive is really hard when you're off stride but still got to catch it at the least.
  18. Still lots of football to play. 5-2-1 isn't a bad place to be. I think you guys looked past us. I wouldn't be surprised if you beat Philly.
  19. I think our season is over on our side. You guys have lots of momentum now.
  20. One of his handful of good games... If he can ever get to a consistently high level, then he'd change minds. As it is... Meh.
  21. People are also jumping to the conclusion that Darnold would have figured it out here. I very much disagree. He needed a place where he could be a backup for a while with no pressure. So all the pining over him was pointless. Highly unlikely he would do anything but continue to fail had he stayed here. The one that got away was Baker. He was not as bad as he seemed here. He was always a good player but we were a two bit, middle of the road college program grasping at straws. Had we invested the time in Baker that we have done for Bryce, history would have been quite a bit different. To what end, who knows? Doesn't matter. There are a million hindsight stories that are very unkind to this franchise. There is no one that is more significant than the other. It is what it is.
  22. He’s a serviceable starter for us that doesn’t cost much. The reason he doesn’t cost much is that he has flaws, one of which appears to be catching the ball. It would be good to have a better corner opposite JC but he’s not at the top of the list when it comes to people we need to upgrade.
  23. Yeah, Shanahan helped him a lot. Also, I think he is the type of player that needs about 7-8 years in the NFL to mature. People forget that he had a lifetime total of three years playing QB going into college at USC. He should have stayed in school his entire career and his NFL transition may not has been as rough.
  24. Oh, no doubt he wanted to catch it. You could tell immediately he was upset with himself. I'm sure it is hard to capitalize on something like that when it happens so rarely.
  25. Eh. I mean you gotta catch that. He knows it. I don't think this is losing your job worthy. He just needs to fix the concentration.
