At this point the only person we are evaluating is Canales. We have answers on Evero and Bryce. Can that answer change? Maybe slightly, but that answer won't be in the form of a franchise QB/contract extension. Sure you can say that's just an opinion/prediction because I don't know for a fact what the rest of the season will look like, but trend and historical analysis agrees with me. Dave was supposed to be this offensive playcaller that we have never had. How has he progressed? How do we look 4 weeks into this season compared to week 1 last year? I don't see much improvement at all. The blame doesn't fall solely on Dave, but this is a business.

Canales needs to hand off play-calling duties ASAP. Only thing that can save him at this point IMO. Let somebody else call the plays, and go coach to save yourself/your system. He's not Andy Reid or Sean McVay...he can't handle calling plays and being in charge.

They probably were on the path to being at least serviceable but that Watson decision really tanked them. They have an elite defense.

At this point if Canales goes so be it. The issue is you seem to adopting the same mentality as others which is basically parroting the exact same takes from two years ago with Reich blaming everything solely on him while trying to direct attention from the fact the starting QB is extremely limited. You cannot fire two entire coaching staffs and still act as if the QB is only one small part of the problem. He is at the center of all the problems. And the problem with firing yet another coach to shield Bryce Young is nobody is going to want to take this job. It's already undesirable with the Tepper's. But to take a job under the guise of fixing a literal 2X coach killer is a nonstarter. The only possible coach you might get in here is some horrible coordinator that will just be another crony sycophant to the Tepper's. The only path forward is to rip the bandaid off bench Young and just put one foot in front of the other and treat this as an audition year for everyone.

I dont really think its fair to count interim coaches, theyre almost never kept as head coach by any team.

He panicked and overpaid for Wharton. His solution to fixing OL was to throw big money at 2 guards. One who is out for the year now. Our OL was a disaster yesterday And lastly, he decided to hire his buddy to be the head coach. A guy who had zero interviews elsewhere

There are things we know and things we don't know. Right now our starting QB is undoubtedly making things significantly easier for opposing coaches and defenses to gameplan for. That cannot be downplayed. We need to evaluate this staff and roster with a QB who can complete consistent passes downfield and then go from there and see what further moving parts need to be replaced in the offseason.

There is enough talent to be average. Jesus Christ we have: (2) 1st-round WRs 1st round CB 1st round LT Over 200 million in other OL 1st round DE worth 90 million (2) 1000 yard rushers One of the highest paid safeties 100 million between Wharton and Brown. Plus a 2nd and 3rd spent on Edge Rushers this year. I mean come on.

I’ve been begging for them to sign a legit backup for years. preferably a QB that can run to make up for the lack of talent on offense But this roster as a whole is f*cking awful. I’d say it’s us, Saints and Patriots bottom 3 teams in terms of talent and the Patriots just whopped our ass yesterday lol But until we start stacking talent on this roster using another high draft pick on a QB to drop into this situation is going to result in similar results There isn’t a single QB in college right now that’s coming here next year and turning this circus into a competitive team

there is no way this franchise is going to saddle themselves with Young for 2 more years. Morgan, I am assuming, is way too smart for that because that is a sure fire way to get canned. I mean damn look up north and you see that Dart probably just saved the asses of the entire Giants org. Ive said all year there are literally only 3 options for bryce and the panthers. Trade, extension or pick up the 5th. After yesterday Bryce is 98.9% done in Carolina, its not official but we are a ***** hair away from it being so. Bryce has to be sent away or we will never get rid of him I fear. We will always be in a cycle of bad play, benching, comes back looking better, bad play, benching, etc. When they make the decision, they need to trade him for whatever they can get, his money is already paid, but don’t give yourself a reason to put him back in or for next coach (If Dave is fired) to try to fix him. Get him out of here. The only reason we are in this situation is because Andy had a car wreck and he had a decent showing. He went 3-3 and now we are back where we were last year. Had we gotten rid of him before the deadline we could have paired a new QB with Andy this season that could actually develop
