Yβall remember a Albert Haynesworth? Washington gave him the world and he went on vacation. The poo is scary sometimes.

TheSpecialJuan started following Panthers re-sign one of their UFA

sho Folks, he is going to be 27. These numbers are scary good, imo. 5th in hurries, 9th in pressures, 14th in stops---the man makes things happen. This should send Jones II and Princely to the reserve roles in the rotation. If Scourton continues his level of improvement, we are much improved. I really thought the Eagles had this fish in the boat. Wonder if Morgan remembers the Eagle that got away last year?

I don't think there's an EDGE we could've not nitpicked had we signed them: Phillips - injury history Hendrickson - older Chubb - older & injured Epenesa - JAG/better than Jones/Wonnum? Oweh - unlocked under Minter just last year Reddick - older Mafe - numbers were down; lost in the SEA shuffle We needed EDGE help (and have for several years). Dan goes out and gets arguably the best EDGE guy at only 27 years old to pair with two young EDGEs. Can't really complain.

If we can't work out trades (which is probably why neither are cut yet), likely happening. Should free up $16ish mil more (that includes the dead cap offset)
-
Maybe for you. I have lines, that I stick to. That is one of them. I am not saying you donβt have lines but it doesnβt look like that is one.

Colts gave 4 years 114 million for 47 catches and just over 1000 yards.

I don't know what you meant by that last sentence, but it is very likely he'll be north of 20 annually. Market Value on sites is anywhere from 20 to 21. UFAs tend to get overpaid relative to the largest contracts at their position which have been dated by a year or two. Factor in inflation and cap increase, it's a reasonable assumption.

I'd trade them Dalton for Levis straight up.

There was this guy his name was Sean Gilbert

Easier said than done .

100%

That was my first thought.

Iβm sad to see AβShawn go. I get it, but he did a good job for us.
-
Second only to trading up in 23
-
Akayleb Evans agrees to a deal to Return to the Carolina Panthers
-
They're almost certainly cutting both Jones and A'Shawn
-
like every big deal.
-
Nah, we should have TRADED Burns to the Rams. They offered a crazy package. If that trade offer never came through then re-signing him was the obvious choice. Botched on both levels.
-
ultimately if Phillips stays healthy this is a great signing Thatβs what this boils down to which ultimately can be said for a lot of big deals
-
This makes Pat Jones $10 mil cap & presence kind of off with Scourton & Princely being developed. Would like to see him moved. Both Jones Jr. and A'Shawn should be on the move
-
The upside is there, the risk is huge for all that guaranteed money though. I'm not a huge fan of this signing. They paid for a guy who has proven it on the field, not a guy they're hopeful can get to those numbers.
